  • He was probably admiring the extra-large dragon dildo, thinking of upgrading from his own which is only a large.

  • Happy with mine too. I would argue the premium models (with lots of cycles and buttons) aren't a necessary investment. No matter the brand I think spin cycle speed is important for efficient drying, mine goes up to 1400 which is a great start for dryer or hang drying.

  • Last night was the first night post-solstice I noticed the sunset lasting a little longer. Thank goddess.

  • Personally I wouldn't bother, cutting off the power cord does help tell people it's waste though.

If I was paranoid about someone finding my AskJeeves search history, I'd open it and smash the HDD platter inside (or just go over it with a magnet).

  • Been forcing some daffodil bulbs in water to hopefully get some indoor winter blooms. They seem to be growing well, looking forward to flowers in a couple weeks. It's way easier than I thought and would recommend it as a project if you've got a sunny spot for them. Might try tulips next.

  • Thankfully my apartment gets down to just 17 at the lowest and I'm a hot sleeper anyway. But these mornings have just been a bit too nippy!

  • It was good back in the day, but I think it's just old now. It's been through a few battery replacements and had the glass replaced once. The Horse don't seem to make watches with separate second hands anymore, so I wonder if it was a known issue.

I'll make sure to check out Lorus.

  • It's got a separate second hand that keeps falling off with bumps, and the rogue hand gets caught in the hour and minute hands. Fixable but doesn't seem to stick. And it makes me realise I barely ever look at it to tell the time, I just feel naked without it.

  • Do you wear a wristwatch?

If so, is it because you use it, out of habit, as a fashion thing, something else, or a combination of the above?

Mine keeps breaking and I'm thinking of just replacing it with some jewellery (simple chain bracelet?) on that side to fill the void.

  • Victorian government announces pill testing trial to start this summer
  • The press release from today clarifies some important points:

    • The trial is about how the service is implemented, not whether the service will become a feature of the Victorian health service. i.e. It will become a permanent part of Victoria's health response to drugs (as long as a non-regressive government is in power one assumes).
    • There will be a fixed site "located in an inner Melbourne area close to nightlife and transport" set up around mid-2025, as well as site testing at festivals this summer.
    • Legislation will be amended so the service, its staff and its clients won't be breaking the law.
    • Police will be consulted to establish a fair and feasible arrangement that doesn’t deter people from using the service.
