Bugger. Had to call off heading down the beach. Absolute shitshow at southern x.. line fault.
I'm very lucky in that I could just turn around and say fuck it not today.. All those other poor souls though...
Will head down tm.
Heading down the bellarine today. Been almost 3 months so the weed sitch will be borked.
Over the rona restriction days when I finally got down there, ended up being 16 weeks of consecutive full green bins. Really hoping that isn't going to happen again.
Ol' girl snapped at me and ol' boy last night about not having independence (she's snapping at everything lol not very funny though) so I figure now's a good time to give this thing a bit of a rest for a few days.
Feel a bit guilty going, but will feel a bit guilty staying so not going to win this one.
Very naughty of MIL.
When my ol' girl was in, literally anyone could walk in and out no questions asked. No guard. Felt odd just walking in. Was thinking at the time that surely a patient has just upped and left and no one would know.
Hope she's feeling better.
So my bet was she got off and I lost that one. I owe everyone 50c :(
Recently tried on some (i think) fancy photochromic type things and the difference was fairly amazing. Wasn't any magnification just clearer. Heard how much they cost and nup, I'll live in my little blurry world for now.
it's basically just a kettle w/ a stick blender heh. Not quite thermomix those things are like 10x the price. Weight-wise this thing isn't too bad. It is simple though.
Witches' advice has been weighing on me heavily (and for that I can't thank her kindly enough for sharing her experience).
I still have more thinking to do :(
Just christened the new soupmaker I got for the ol' girl / boy.
Morphy richards clarity thing.
Idea was to reduce use of the stovetop for her / less cleaning / quicker and probably safer.
First up, potat and leek. Shit that thing is fast. 21 mins. Maybe 5 mins of prep, 2 mins cleaning. Don't really eat that stuff but was actually surprisingly very good. Gave maybe 3-4 serves.
If she doesn't use it it'll still save me a shitload of time and hassle.
Yea that sucks.
If your mum was told a week ago that's all on her. I'm sure there's probably a compromise here somewhere but your sis shouldn't feel bad about it if there's not. Sounds a bit manipulative.
wtf is that thing in the corner stab it.
Unfucking things that are now fucked, that you tried to keep unfucked, is fucked.
It's only 8:15am :(
hol up from aldi you say?
I think it's easier for her here at home, but she's gone back into 'I need to do domestic chores' mode which might actually not be that bad. I know this might sound bad but I'm leaving small light stuff out for her to put away just so she feels like she's doing something.
Eating is the hard one but she's getting more down here than in hospital. In hindsight should've disregarded advice to not bring anything in.
Well this is proving to be difficult.
In better news turns out I accidentally crossbred habs with thai:
Fruits way later and has a hint of habs flavour but not too much and with all the heat. Always found the thais do better in the cold so will be keeping those seeds.
I too think she's guilty, or a little bit guilty. She'll get off because of something something imo.
Jeez I really need to up my breakfast game.
Definitely not overstepping. Reaaly thankful for the advice. Honestly atm I'm open to all of it and really appreciative of everyone here and their thoughts.
Thankyou. Definitely looking at home support packages. Definitely looking at the speech path, physio and OT stuff.
Big thanks.
I think the mental energy and stress will slowly catch up. Guess we'll see if I'm cut out for this (I have my doubts eek).
