Abolish ice. Maybe, just maybe, we should treat people as people? Citizen, immigrant, asylum seekers, you know…. People?
- There's a reason the 4th amendment talks about the rights of people, not the rights of citizens.
- Immigration and customs enforcement still needs to happen, so it wouldn't make sense to abolish them.
  But the path to citizenship needs to be significantly easier.
  
  These things happened before ICE existed.
  
  It makes total sense to abolish the agencies we have now just to boot the racists. Otherwise they're going to spend the rest of their lives looking for ways to abuse their authority
  
  ICE and the entire department of homeland security dis not exist until after 9/11. The country has been fine without this state sanctioned violent gang roaming the streets.
  
  I could see customs, but immigration? Honestly the more I think about it the more I conclude that the entire concept of immigration enforcement and a distinction between citizens and noncitizens is unethical
  
  Republicans will never agree to any meaningful change in immigration policy. It gives them two valuable things: First, a Bad Guy on whom to blame everything. Second, a broken system they can point to as evidence that government is inherently incompetent, so everything should be privatized.
  
  It needs to happen but there is no reason for it to be inhumane
ICE is doing exactly what it's supposed to: terrorise Americans into obedience.
- How are you supposed to obey when the "crime" is having the wrong skin color?

  You're not. You are in the way and will be sent to camps, eliminated or sent back into slavery.
Without due process we may never know. If they can choose to skip it for anyone they choose to by deciding they are the type it can be skipped for.
Between signup bonuses (possibly tied to performance), per head bounties and KPIs, you get perverse incentives.
I'm not sure which part of the Nazi regime ICE represents, but it certainly fits.

Cities should start deputizing civilians en masse to monitor ICE and arrest them if they try to kidnap US citizens / legal immigrants and charge them accordingly
- Form a lawful militia first so it's constitutionally protected.
Not so good with history, anyone knows if there is any information about Nazis also sending political enemies to gas chambers, besides the Jews?

- They went after trans, gays, the disabled, Roma, trade unionists and Communists. It wasn't just the Jews.
  
  It's much worse than people seem to think these days, especially considering the disabled. I don't know any words that convey how much I loathe nazis and people who have any sympathy for them

  It's inefficient to gas prisoners who can be worked to death, or shot in order to incentivize others to work to death. The linked article doesn't specify whether the prisoners sent from Dachau to the "euthanasia center" at Linz included political prisoners, but you can be sure there were many among the murdered.
- Not sure about the mode of execution, but fuck yeah they did.
  Dietrich Bonhoeffer, Sophie Scholl & posse, just to name the probably most famous. Both were part of the "master race" btw.
