We had a couple weeks calling people "F.A.G.s' and "M.A.G.s" for 'female ass grabber" and "male ass grabber". As in someone how grabd a females ass or or a male ass. I have no idea how the teachers were able to do anything about that with a straight face.
China is currently boxed in by American aligned entities. Every island off the Chinese coast large enough to throw an airfield on is controled by an American ally with American military forces on it. Taiwan is of massive strategic value because it would allow Chinese vessels to access the Pacific Ocean unimpeded.
Weird hiw Republicans can get what they want when they have just one chamber of Congress, but the Dems can't do anything even when they have 2/3 between Congress and the White House. The Democrats keep hiding behind "we cant do that because it won't pass" so things keep getting worse and worse for people, who blame the Democrats. If they started to actually campaign on things that will improve people's lives like Medicare for all, lowering rent/housing prices, fixing college tuition, and breaking up giant corporations.
Hydrologicly they are one, two lobed lake. But for cultural and commercial reasons they function more as two separate lakes. Similar to how the Adriatic and Aegean Sea are the same body of water as the Mediterranean.
Once they get going they reproduce like crazy. And there wouldn't have been any competition for that first life form, so is growth would only be hindered by how many nutrients were available. Churning oceans and storms would have spread that first life form would only needaybe a couple centuries millenia to spread across the Earth, while that leap from self replicateling macromolecules to actual life form would have simultaneously been way harder tham you think.
There's not really any swing voters who are undecided. There is a massive group that is voting for Trump, and a lot of people who would rather stay home on election day. And all year it has been "Biden needs to win" but now even the DNC is horrified that he is totally unappealing. He belongs in a hospice unit, not the White House. Biden has been like this since the 2020 primaries, just now everyone has to see how old Biden really is.
Biogenesis is crazy hard. Once that first lifeform appears it absorbs pretty much all available resources and takes over from there. All those conplex molecules just floating around get incorporated into the life form that appears first. Those primordial seas were constantly churning things about so life would have quickly spread across the ocean once it formed.
All known lofe on Earth uses the same base "toolset" to keep it simple while genetic analysis shows all known life is at least distantly related. While it isn't impossible that life developed multiple times on Earth, any other lineages were unable to compete and died off quickly.
It should also be noted how dramatically easier it is for existing life forms to hog all the available resources than it is for said resources to go through biogenesis. This is why scientists are unable to create life forms in labs, because no matter how sterile we try to make the conditions, some microbe finds a way in and thrives on the resoirce dense media that scientists are trying to recreate life with.
And in the fucked up hellscape that is America, a fuckton of legal debt. First to the ER that saved your life and then to the mental hospital that forced you in because of your attempt. And guess what! Neither are in network so you are now am extra $100,000 in debt because you decided your financial situation was beyond salvage.
That is actually why they'rea big discrepancy between male and female studies rates. Attempts are about even but women typically choose less effective/reversible methods such as sleeping pills. Men tend to choose more violent methods like firearms or hanging which results in higher success rates on suicide attempts.
That's why they are advocating for a tax on those items as well. Makes them similarly priced to non-UPF options while also givign money to something useful like healthcare.
Recently watched the episode were Barclay is terrified of the transporter while Geordie and O'Brien try to tell him it is the safest form of transportation ever and accidents never occur.
Like dude, every ither week something goes catastrophicly wrong with the transporters and either maims, kills, phase shifts, or de-ages someone. Or it sends you to a parallel universe. Or in Barclay's case it gives you an infection or traps you in the transporter.
When half the people want it, it will.
I am honestly blown away there hasn't been any assassination attempts on any justices recently. They have record low public approval, never emding corruption scandals, and have been throwing out all these rulings that are blatantly undermining the rule of law.
The US won all nearly all their engagements in Vietnam, Iraq, and Afghanistan. The difference was the lack of public support to keep those wars and occupations going.
Who amongst us has never accidentally shifted into 1st instead of 3rd?
Yeah it was progressive at the time since it stopped the military from digging around and asking your family if you are gay, especially since there weren't even civil unions in most states back then.
What i don't understand is why Obama didn't pardon them all since DADT was overtirned in 2010
We still do that today, just with thr patient under anesthesia so they dont freak out about uaving a hole drilled in their skull.
It was $15 for a large (16 inch) pepperoni from a local shop last week here. The shop next door to my apartment has an $18 "King" sized that is 20inches. $21 for a 26x18 field. $6 for cheesy garlic breadNo coupons needed. Extra sauces are $1 instead of 75¢, but they are made in house so i can accept that.
Both are admittedly more expensive than the Marcos 2 doors down from me, and i am not factoring in delivery charges, but not by much and certainly cheaper than what the OP posted here. I might also be lucky because my small college town has a piza shop for nearly ever 1000 residents, so they have to really compete with each other which keeps prices down, and the national chains really struggle against the better local options.

Sorry for the infrequent posts. I lost my job and am trying to move out to Cleveland. Add some other personal stuff to the mix and it has been a rough month for me.
But these are a gift for my best friend's birthday this weekend. She's an absolute coffee fiend. I'm not big on tropical flavors at all so I'm not really impressed by them, but here's hoping she likes them.
Notes from baking these, but my powdered egg substitute was not useful. I had a lot of issue gettting the dough to come together and ended up using way more oil than is usually necessary for biscotti. They al holding shape, but they were definitely more crumbly than i was originally hoping for.

Been meaning to make a baklava for a few months, and figured this was the perfect time to do it! The phyllo dough took me a bit to figure out, but once i realized you just need to starch the shit out if it while rolling and just keep stacking it, it worked out great! My bottom layer is fucked, the middle one a little thick, but the top layer was absolutely magical
Started my first union job right before Thanksgiving and elections are this week. Results will be in this weekend since contract negotiations start on Tuesday. Everyone is gearing up for a big fight and i am nervous, but excited.
Anyway, they had a trailer set up in the parking lot and the steward flagged me down to get over there and vote.

I have never used any LLM's, and didn't fee like starting, so i went with a random recipe from my go to baking site. Unfortunately the batter ended up WAY too stiff and nothing i did allowed me to pipe these suckers out, so they just sorta ended up as regualr cookies, but delicious none the less.
I do think piping would have made them better though. The center of the cookies wasn't nearly as good as the crispy outsides, and piping them would have really increased the surface area.

I'm American, but my mom is a Geordie. We always visited my aunt when we went to England and i thought her living right next to a castle was the coolest thing ever.

Sorry i am way late on this one. I asked my uncle in Japan (he's American, just a 65 weeb currently backpacking through Japan with my aunt for their retirement) for advice on something to make. He was currently in Hiroshima and told me to try making this local street food. Unfortunately i didn't realize how hard it would be to get some of these ingredients in rural Ohio, but i finally got everything for this recipe. luckily there is an amazing little Asian grocery store in Findlay that hooked me up with everything i needed and i am incredibly happy with how they turned out!

These rich truffles have a little bit of brandy as well as sour cream to create a luxurious and rich chocolate treat!

My bagels turned out not so great for cream cheese, as you really need to make the hole in the middle massive, but they were excellent for homemade pizza bagels! Made a great lunch for my and my neighbors's kids!

ST. LOUIS -- Avoiding the potential distractions that an arbitration hearing can sometimes create, the Cardinals inked center fielder Tommy Edman to a two-year contract that will allow both sides to focus solely on the season ahead, the club announced on Monday. The Pirates have reached an agreement on a one-year, $10.5 million contract with free-agent reliever Aroldis Chapman, a source told MLB.com's Mark Feinsand. The club has not confirmed the deal, which is pending a physical. In 2022, Chapman tallied a 4.46 ERA in just 43 games with the Yankees --
