I'd like to see a movie where all the christian conservatives get raptured up to heaven, only to find out it's actually all the worst parts of how it's been described: a eternal church service of fawning over a tyrant who demands constant worship, adoration, and absolute obedience. Meanwhile, back on earth, with no more conservatives around, the people left behind build a just, equitable, and prosperous paradise.
I deeply want for them to have that homogeneous theocratic ethnostate in the sky. I would give a lot just to let them fuck off to go exist with only eachothers company
What if people were actually raptured a long time ago and what's left is us. We're all just crazy degenerates left here fighting each other while the sane nice people actually did disappear
The idea of "Rapture" is very recent; and based on a very problematic pseudo-theology.
But for your idea, something more theologically solid relates to the idea that God is the source of all good, a world where God is entirely absent would be only evil and suffering, Hell.
Nero didn't pretend to care about Christians or for their support; although if there were MAGA-like "Christians" in the Roman Empire he maybe might have liked them?

That almost sounds like something they'd be into.
hell gets all the good cooks and musicians anyways
