I'm so confused. You can cook the laminated dough on a waffle iron?
Yeah, I used to work at a place that served these. We just took the frozen pre-made rolls from Costco, let them thaw in the fridge, and plopped them straight on the waffle iron.
People seemed to love it but I found it just alright. I'd rather have a regular croissant or waffle.
Eh, they're crispier than croissants and way more buttery than waffles. What's not to like? I don't want it every time, but I think it's good sometimes.
Could someone inform me where this croissant crossing craze came from? In the last few months I've encountered cronuts, cruffins, crookies, and crownies.
According to Wikipedia, the croffle was invented by an Irish chef and first became popular in South Korea.

I've never tried a Croffle, but this is definitely making me want to seek one out!
