Get offline. Don't always bring your phone everywhere you go. Turn it off a few hours a day.
Put it on DND as much as possible.
Same goes for any other digital device ofc.
If you get bored, find a solution, offline. Talk to friends or family for advice, take a walk, join a club.
We don't need the digital world at all. We're all just a bit addicted to it.
I put mine in DND mode and it started texting all my contacts to see what night works best to meet.
Have a place for your important things (wallet, phone, keys, etc) and always put it away in that place when it's not on you.
Go for a walk. Its cliché and I hate that it works but it genuinely can lift your mood and outlook. Plus you burn more calories than you might think.
I used to think walking my dog was for his benefit.
Then he got surgery, and we can't take our walks anymore. I noticed I miss them more than him.
So now we go on bicycle rides together :)
Being embedded in a community where you live.
Don’t take it for granted if you have it!
Reading books.
Learning about your wants and needs and how to communicate them.
I got recently Diagnosed with autism and before that always struggled with the demands of others and how to Tell others that I dont want to / can Not do something. Now I know that it is totally socially acceptable to just Tell others to suck your left nut and if the have any questions about that, Tell them youre autistic and cant be arsed.
Figuring out your values.
Knowing what you actually care about let's you sidestep so much drama.
Interacting according to your actual principles let's you filter out so many frustrating people and situations.
It gives you calm, purpose, and a satisfying life. As you learn more about how to apply your values, you'll also have a direct route to contentment and happiness.
Slowly taking a full breath in and out using your nose.
Also more sleep makes you less tired.
But just because you are given the ancient wisdom does not mean you can master it, i am always tired and often forget to a breath.
Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A, Start.
Be nice to people, yourself included.
Know yourself. Not your hobbies, your habits, or your job. Your worldview. Understand its biases, its flaws and who may be hurt by it. Craft it with meaningful ideas that recognize the inherent value in the gift of life. Create rituals with those you love that celebrate and express gratitude for this shared existence.
If you have lost heart in the path of Love, flee to Me without delay: I am a fortress invincible. Rumi
Work hard, more done.
If working for yourself.
When employed, work smart, not hard. Working really hard will only get you more work for the same pay.
Divorcing your identity from your job. You aren't a teacher etc, you are someone who teaches (for $). Makes decision making within and outside work simpler
Observe and learn your habits and emotions. Journal, analyze, and exploit your findings. Can help reduce struggles or improve performance; most of all, learn to know yourself and work with yourself.
Also, discipline isn't a bad word: discipline isn't to do things you hate, but is to follow what you truly want.
Perspective matters. You're a radio and you can learn to (partially) tune yourself into what you want to hear; you're almost never just feeling a single emotion.
Also the root of all emotions, including negative ones, is love. Though this sounds like bullshit and isn't very useful until you've reached a certain point.
Friends that have your back
The ability to both intro- and retrospect.
To understand how you are, feel and function is important to self development and to become a better you.

Be friendly towards others (cashiers as well as managers)*. Ask them how they are. Offer to help.
When there's something you then need, you'll be surprised at how easy it comes.
*) but dish it out if they turn out to be assholes
Audiobooks while doing chores and doing shopping.
Rice, lentils and beans.
Affordable, store forever, can cook em in a thousand ways. I think half of the calories I eat come from those 3.
Lentils make me fart death
Wash them before you cook them, it really helps. Even better if you put them in water overnight.
Lucky you!
Got some recipes?
