This is the coolest thing I've seen all week
The children yearn for the mines!
Diggy diggy hole, diggy diggy hole.
As an adult with no children, I want to visit Diggerland.
- Do I need to be able to drive stick to participate?
  
  They don't make it seem like any prior knowledge is necessary.
- Get into construction and that can be you but you also get paid. There might be some downsides but I wouldn't worry about it
  
  Lol, my brother is a precaster and his injuries and creaking joints have taught me all I need to know about construction work.

Diggy, diggy hole...
I never saw one of these until like 2015 but my kids absolutely love these kind of diggers.
I’m old and my partner acquired a dead cat that they wanted to become bones. I was SO excited to dig the hole to let bugs eat the non-bones parts. It was everything I always wanted.
- I wouldn't say I was excited to bury my cat, but the act of digging the grave was therapeutic.

  Luckily we didn’t know this cat, the cats we’ve had to bury that we raised, my partner’s parents dug their graves before we could get there. I wouldn’t like digging through tears.
I just had a spade and a backyard.
But oh! The trenches I dug!
You had these as a kid? Best I could hope for was an old spoon.

  All we had was a splintered old plank that father would beat us to sleep with if we missed our digging quota.
  
  Paradise.
  We had to wake up at 3 at night, dig ditches using a toothpick for 18 hours, every day ,for a penny a week, then eat a handful of cold gravel.
...where did the dirt go?
- You dig another hole and put the dirt in there, obviously.
