Common DragonCon W. The whole con was a lovely reprieve from the bullshit-industrial complex.
Went a few years back, and it is next level. Almost too much to take in for this introvert.
Loved the blow up T-Rex mosh pit, and the line of people in Andor prison uniforms going to the pool while chanting "One way out!"
I think it is genuinely lovely but also I think its starting to strain under its own weight.
There's a lot of outdoor queueing in either direct Georgia 90° sunshine or the pouring rain, and due to the rule you can't queue for more than an hour beforehand, a weird pseudo-queue system, and none of the venues can hold enough audience.
They have started to cap attendance, so at least it won't get worse. Also, come checkout the American Sci-Fi Classics panels, usually lots of room.
The lines weren't nearly as gnarly this year, but the mild weather and extra positivity surely helped!
