do check out the lords cricket ground (aka the home of cricket. no, seriously).
matches have been played there for over a hundred years with one end of the playing field being about 9ft higher than the other.

I imagine the view for the spectators in the back being quite monotonous
That side has a giant screen covering it entirely playing the game.
