I have a confession. When these people say something is "woke," it makes me want to check it out as it might be a piece of art that has things I care about, like inclusion and fairness. I keep a list of "woke" games bookmarked so I can learn about new games that normally wouldn't be on my radar to checkout. They think everything is "woke." It hasn't been updated since March, but it still has a lot of content on it.

My favorite review was the one for Gloomhaven, a fantasy game.
Out-of-place diversity in a 'medieval' setting. The Scoundrel class is a WOC. Multiple other units are POC with no explanation as to how such diversity exists.

Granted, it has been a long time since I play Hunt. From what I remember there really wasn't an overall story to the game. There is no plot outside of "go hunt this creature". Reminder, this all takes place in a world with fucking zombies.

There's not a lot of rhyme or reason to what games these dipshits call "Woke" really. It basically amounts to "I don't like the game," for a lot of them honestly. I've seen several games that you'd think for sure have gotta be woke that they say are fine and others with way less woke elements that they'll say it Woke Trash.

MK1 was bad but definitely wasn't "Woke^TM". Or are they just saying that because Mileena wears pants and not a bandage that only covers her nips and cooch? Honestly it's probably just that (not even for the first time) a woman is running Outworld.

I'm pretty sure it acknowledging female characters exist at all is considered woke by these people. Maybe they'd be okay with a female character who was barefoot pregnant wearing a dress in a kitchen, but only if she has no speaking lines.
I can't fathom a single one of those idiots has the attention span to have played the game, much less learned the lore. There is zero chance they know who is running Outworld. The outrage is manufactured and the dumb sheep fall in line. Simple as that.

I'm not so sure. For the YouTubers, it can be a good source of money. For the audience, it's probably the only way they can get a sense of community. Those types of people are boring and they'd probably have no other way to make friends.
