  Questionable. According to Ukrainian posters which should be taken with a grain of salt.
  Also, COVID killed about a million russians, 2 millions die yearly. So having 1 additional million people dead in 3 years is not a big toll. That's probably the logic of the Russian government - those who really decide whether to continue the war or not
  
  The problem here isn't really with the source but how it is read. It doesn't say "killed" but rather "approximate enemy losses" (орієнтовні втрати противника), which would also include the injured.
  
  Sigh. 300,000 dead Russian soldiers have been named by independent media. A million dead is realistic. The number of casualties is in the millions. What number of 100,000s people dead passes the threshold for you?

  IDK, really. True that NATO doesn't want direct involvement and wants Ukraine to kick Putin's ass. But it begs the question: is Russia a proxy for China or we just force the interpretation of the proxy war onto reality?
Nihilist? Do I have a wrong understanding of that word or are you accusing Russia of simply believing that existence itself is meaningless and futile and that the universe is so unbelievably massive and enduring that nothing humanity can possibly ever achieve will even register as a cosmic blip?
