You don't really need to learn about beliefs, to not believe in them.
- 100% agree. And if the atheism community was just about sharing in their lack of belief, that would be fine.
  However, atheist communities on the whole seem to be more focused on critiquing or mocking religion (probably because it's hard to make content around a lack of something): fundamentally you should have some knowledge of the religions you're criticising to not just seem uninformed.
  As an atheist myself, such content just seems very cringey.
- What's the fun in that? There is something about being able to meet them on their ground and know more about their stuff than they do. You don't have to really do anything in life but fun is fun.

- "you made god kill himself" is pretty far away from what's the belief in the bible. The bible says that God sends the son of man to die by the hands of man. Not saying that that's true or whatever.but that's how the story goes

It is not easy to have a reasonable confrontation with a cultural practice that by definition bases all its guidelines on a self-imposed dogma born out of the "subjective interpretation" of a book of old oral myths transcribed, mistranslated and heavily altered throughout history.
