I wait for them to be regurgitated until they end up youtube or lemmy.
why would this be a symbol of old age?
i feel like it's actually just an incestuous mix of thinking you are better than tiktok but still holding onto an immature version of yourself by being on instagram.
maybe i just see social media use as an inherently immature thing? (including lemmy)
idk, is this a wrong opinion to hold?
- Email is a social media and it's very grown up.
  
  i guess its a media that is intended for social use, but i feel thays similar to calling a cooked meal "processed food". like yeah technically correct (best kind), but also defying the indended meaning when most people use the term.
- Because that's what happens as you age
- I think social media can be used for a large variety of things. Many important movements (50501 for a current example) greatly rely on social media to mobilize folks.
The top 5 websites in the world are mostly reposts from the other 4.
I find out about tiktok videos through lemmy or somebody in the family signal chat sharing them (if ever). Yesterday I found out about Baby Rexha (?) and Bad Bunny, which sounded like video games, but are music artists.

I watch YouTube shorts. On my pc, when I get home. Because grayjay doesn't show shorts.
- I hate shorts because they are different from what was cool in my youth
I watch neither because neither has a passable web UI, especially without a login
I wait til they’re talked about of @fter Midnight. It’s a natural filter, so I only see what’s really important.
And here I was, thinking my lemmy feed was the sign of me being hip and youthful...
