Didn't we all move to USB C at this point?

You mean you don't have to rotate your USB C connectors to plug them in?
Unironicly, the cords can get damaged sometimes and only work when used in one way cause the connections meet, so we end up having to do this.
USB sticks are in a quantum state until you observe them.
And even then, they stay there for a bit, just to fuck with your whole Weltanschauung 🤷
That's because USB is in quantum superposition until you try and plug it in.
insert your usb in the wrong places and you may get a virus or something
