I get the feeling that people who would drink holy water are not the ones listening to professionals or applying any common sense.
Theyre the ones buying snake oil instead of going to a doctor, or drinking bleach to get rid of autism.
I'm sure they would've acted against the eldest recommendation even before modern medicine.

I remember naming one of my Oregon Trail characters "God". The words "God has cholera" still make me laugh, and this just reminded me.

Maybe they should have used some of that very profane UV light on their holy water, to make it safe, not just holy.
