On the bright side, he will never make a mistake again.

Zuckerberg finally got tired of the METAverse being useless and going nowhere.
But he still thinks he is some sort of visionary tech genius. And he wants to capture the next big thing before anybody else.
If he were smart he would have realized the metaverse was a stupid idea years ago. But unfortunately for him he is not very smart, he was just lucky and ruthless with facebook, and now he has become a megalomaniac drunk with the power of his billions.
It is only months ago he thought he could create strong AI by building a massive LLM thinking strong AI would be an emerging property of massively concentrated stupidity. I think he at least has realized that is not the case.

Even if this ends the riots, it will likely not be for long. Maybe 6 months maybe a year. It's impossible to know.
But what is almost certain is that next time, the rioters will know the stakes, and they will riot with a lot more violence against the regime and any authorities that stand with the regime.
For many conditions are now unlivable in Iran, and unless the regime can solve that, people will riot even when risking to get killed.

I think that's a wise choice, Denmark is not perfect, but at least we are considerate to Greenland as an independent self governing part of the Kingdom of Denmark, that consist of Denmark, Greenland and Faroe Island.
Greenland is not treated as a minority population of Denmark, but as an independent population with a right to self determination over themselves as a people and Greenland as their country.
They are also allowed AFAIK even guaranteed complete sovereignty if and when they want, but they are dependent on economic aid from Denmark, and Denmark has the standpoint that they can't have both, which IMO is fair.

Greenland also has 2 members in the parliament of Denmark, which reflect the size of their population proportionally. Faroe Islands has the same. So they are both an equal part of our democracy with proportional representation.

As is already well known for most, USA only has 2 right wing parties, Democrats that are "normal" right wing. and Republicans that are extreme right wing, and has gone more and more insane over the past few decades.

There can be no doubt among normal reasonable people, that the wealth of the richest people in USA is insane now, and needs to be reigned in.

Of course an annual federal tax to achieve this would be preferable, but since that obviously isn't happening anytime soon, it is up to the states. No one needs to have $1 billion, no one even needs a tenth of that.
The rich are so sociopathic they believe they are entitled to this, and then they call people working 2 jobs entitled for wanting a living wage and healthcare!

I respect Richard Dawkins very much, and he is right to some degree. But there comes a point where the evidence is so clear, and the delusion so out of touch with reality, that we have to consider that people also have free will¹. ¹ Regarding free will this is a question I've studied very carefully, and my conclusion is clear, that we have free will within the limits of our understanding of reality and our physical abilities and requirements, and this free will does NOT require a god or a soul. The idea of a soul is completely made up nonsense with absolutely zero evidence or even indication of being true. Free will is possible within the restraints of a reality guided by physical laws, and has nothing to do with the uncertainty principles of quantum mechanics.

In Your german link the only appearance of wage when translated to english is VolksWagen. I also checked salary, and that only appears as part of how a fine was calculated.

No "innovations" happened because they were patentable. But patents happen because they can prevent competition.
And on the other hand evidence that patents stifle competition is pretty clear, and stifled competition decreases innovation.

Steve Balmer expressed it very well IMO, when he claimed Microsoft was a very innovative company because they had created several new types of licenses!

Patents are a disease not a solution.

They are however completely wrong about the "timing" of patents, there is no good timing of patents. Patents will always be harmful after the fact.
