Sleep study done. Pretty shit at the start with the wires. Got woken at 2pm because apparently was having breathing trouble so they tried CPAP. I reckon I got deep sleep for the first time in a LOOONG time after that. 😳 Now have to wait for full results.
I did keep laying there thinking "no-one knew who I was until I put on the mask"....
So this place is way bigger than I expected. I thought it was a medium sized family owned place but it's part of some massive fucking 8bn group of companies.
Changes the dynamic a bit.
Everyone was nice, CEO took me and 2 others out for lunch which was cool.
It's day 1, so don't really have much of a real opinion.
But so far so good.

I knew a few of you have older kids. Do any of you also have strained relationships with your parents? If so, what did you do differently? Just been thinking a bit (ok, a lot) over the past couple of days about how if I have the kind of relationship with my kid as my parents have with me I think It'd destroy me.
First day done yesterday. Everything went smooth. Decent crew, spiffy new office (we have a proper coffee machine!!!) with ergo chairs and all that.
Seems there's a lot of work, but it's all well planned with processes and quick approvals.
So I'll be busy, but not frustrated.
The car I wanted to look at tomorrow has been sold ☹️
Now I have to look at more to pick out number 2 option to look at instead. Bugger.
Now that's it well past midday: what have been people been fooled by today? I clicked on the mod announcement without a second thought and laughed so hard, but also got tricked by a post about a whale shark in the bay. Every year I look forward to what Virgin Australia will come out with, along with Blizzard's WoW patch notes (I wonder if that's still a thing), though I'm often fooled on April 2nd by the posts that happen overnight.
A couple of years ago I saw a cute video of a car that drove around Denver CO with a coffee cup taped to their roof - that's the kinda IRL prank I like, the ones that don't hurt anyone but just cause a "OH!" sort of moment.
Wattlebirds are chasing the lorikeets offa the flowering carmelia tree. Must be some goodness in those flowers.
Dammit, I'm hungry and I have all this prepped food in the freezer but I forgot to take any of it out to defrost. I have a bag of Jerusalem artichokes but cbf waiting to soak + roast. No other veg and need more than instant noods. Guess it's frozen f&c again. Put a box of of veg bolognese in the fridge to defrost for tomorrow night...
Got over yesterday's oncoming-cold feeling only to be SUPER jangly today. I'm going to try and read a damn book tonight rather than watch dumb shit on yt. I've downloaded Project Hail Mary, been meaning to read it for a while...
Cardigan I tried on in store from this season: 57% acrylic, 32% polyester, 8% wool, 3% elastane.
Cardigan I saw on Marketplace potentially from last season: 60% acrylic, 30% nylon, 8% wool, 2% elastane.
Chat says the Marketplace one would be softer but the in store one would be more durable because of the polyester?
Drat Boyo😝! I have my birthday prezzie early again because finding a hiding spot in an entire house and shed is apparently impossible. Would be a useless spy. Now I wanna built Lego and have to work for hours still 😿
The website is down because of a cache issue. That also means I can't cPanel in to delete the folder. I jumped on support and they temporarily increased my limit so I can hopefully access the hosting and clean things up. This website business is hard work
