  Uhhh Amtrak has both First Class as well as Diner Cars with eggs lol. It’s just so slow and shitty that you’ve never bothered to be on it.
  
  They do have first class. But the on board restaurant (if there is one) is accessable for all, not only 1st class travelers.
  
  We paid a tiny bit more on a german train for dinner, fresh fish iirc and it was delicious, served by a waiter, god the railways in the uk are shit.

  You're not kidding. I lived on land with ducks and chickens. Not only are the yolks a deep and rich color, they're thicker and more sticky. I miss having fresh duck eggs daily.

- Based on the brochure on the table, this looks like a MÁV train, so probably 3,50€ for the food and 1,70€ for the coffee (source PDF). YMMV depending on which route you take.
