White House orders consumer protection agency shutdown

Trump administration orders CFPB shutdown, halting consumer protection investigations and new rules amid controversy over agency's role.

Most of us saw this coming.

For anyone who doesn't know: these were the only people banks and lending companies feared.
- Me, actively buying my first house: uh-oh
- I can't decide if it's a good idea to sell my house this year or not lol
  
  Probably not, if you already have an existing mortgage it's probably best to stay put with it and it's existing contract terms

Well, it was created through an act of Congress. It is the law. An executive order cannot shut it down.
- If the executive order attempts or purports to shut it down, and no one does anything to stop that, then yes the order can.
  
  I don’t disagree, but it is important to acknowledge that it is illegal. Some people think the president can just do this, but he cannot without violating the law and the constitution.
This will save enormous amounts of money, that can be used for tax cuts, which will benefit the poor tremendously.

Is this so things can get "cheaper" by moving the real price into hidden fees? His base is absolutely dumb enough to fall for that
