Capitalism has become such a bore
Wish waged labor existed no more
I’d rather pay taxes
Take billionaires assets
And distribute some wealth to the poor
The simple narrative taught in every history class
Is demonstrably false and pedagogically classist
Don't you know the world is built with blood?
And genocide and exploitation
The global network of capital essentially functions
To separate the worker from the means of production
And the FBI killed Martin Luther King
Private property's inherently theft
And neoliberal fascists are destroying the left
And every politician, every cop on the street
Protects the interests of the pedophilic corporate elite
The picture is crooked by just enough
That you'd need a level to tell.
Every adjustment skews it a little bit more
This is starting to feel just like hell.
If it's low on the left, now it's high on the right,
Or it could be the other way around.
If we can't seem to find a way to agree,
Maybe the piece should just come down.
But we like it's aesthetic, that much is a fact,
Though we can't really explain why.
One thing is for certain, we want it displayed,
We just both feel it has fallen awry.
So I'll push, and you'll pull, and we'll stand back and sneer
At the other's well-meant intentions
As it goes from one extreme to the next
While neither of us pays much attention,
To the fact that the picture itself is what really matters,
Not how it sits on a line.
The whole Earth is slanted on its own axis,
And even beauty is crooked sometimes.
Everything is fucked and burning,
Yet the wheels of greed keep turning,
Big wigs buy their thirteenth yacht,
While 'twixt twelve we share a hut,
This just leaves me with one thing:
"Chop, chop" goes the guillotine.
The Maoist uprising against the landlords was the most comprehensive proletarian revolution in history, leading to almost totally equal redistribution of the land amongst the peasantry
If you wish create a good society,
It cannot be run by the bourgeoisie.
Nor can be trusted a Stalin or Mao
Who call all their genocides justice somehow.
Amidst a tapestry of hopes and dreams,
Where human welfare's more than it seems,
Views intertwine, a chorus of care,
For freedoms cherished, we stand aware.
Union's strength empowers the throng,
In solidarity, we all belong,
Fascism's shadow we firmly reject,
For liberty's flame, we protect.
Capital's grasp, we dare to defy,
Corporate greed, to the wind we'll let fly,
Oligarchs and the 1% fade from might,
Inequality's chains, we aim to unbind.
Eyes cast beyond, where spying's unveiled,
Privacy's sanctuary, ever hailed,
A symphony rises, the people unite,
For a world of justice, we strive for the light.
Down with states and stature
Strive instead to ready
Through direct radical action
Root changes grow fruitful
Refreshed from old ashes
Our society rises
We sow personal power
To free all the people
