California alone is the world's 5th largest economy.
4 0 ReplyOut of curiosity, I just looked and noticed that Vermont's GDP is the lowest of every state in the US ($44.4B), but it is higher than Estonia and 15 other European countries still. And the least-populated state, Wyoming (<600k people), has a larger population than at least 7 other European countries, Malta being the largest at just over 500k. Tangential, but I still thought it was interesting.
