I absolutely loved this series. Everyone was really good! I could understand Rosie fine though. Years of practice with my husband who has cerebral palsy as well.
It's funny, because he couldn't understand her well at all. Guess if you're speaking you don't hear your own impediment.
i'll be blunt: in the past, i've not had much patience for rosie jones (on wilty, bfq) but i have thoroughly enjoyed watching her on this series of taskmaster.
shouting out babatunde during the "boring names" task, "where the fuck did gilbert come from?!", "captain jackie and the hotdog!" and her subsequent antics after the task, "honk if you miss me", her blow-up at alex horne in the bomb-defusing task, and her sheer enthusiasm at being introduced in every single episode were all highlights for me.
this series has taught me to be a better, more accepting, person.
(aside: is captain jackie only the second contestant to have his name included in an episode title after "activate jamali'?)
Really loved this series. I don’t know how much these participants bonded like other groups did, but I definitely enjoyed it. The Goose was another task for the ages.
I was rooting for Inspector Emma this series, but Zaltsman would not be denied. Really tight series all in all as well. Can’t wait for the next one. I’ll have to be satisfied with Junior Taskmaster for the time being.
For a long time, I thought WILTY was the best of the panel shows, but TM is so clearly one of the best things to ever appear on television. Even from Series 1, it was clear that the format is absolutely brilliant.
Baba was probably the worst contestant they've ever had. I was hoping to warm up to him over the course of the series, but he brought precious little to the table. Jack was fine—a bit disappointing in light of how obviously excited Alex was to have finally got him on. Loved the other three, top marks for them!
Wasn't a huge fan of the pub quiz. Loved the goose, and all of Andy's prize tasks. Found Alex's blatant efforts to tilt things Jack's way kind of off-putting. Ignoring Baba's obvious running in the maze task was disappointing. Glad Andy won, look forward to seeing him on CoC.
I think this series ranks pretty high for me. I'm kind of surprised that some people were disappointed by Jack Dee's appearance. Mostly, it seemed he was just "being Jack Dee", but you definitely could tell he was enjoying himself, at least in the studio (where you could see him trying to hide how much he was smiling and laughing). Jack and Rosie's team (Captain Jackie and the Hot Dog!) was one for the ages.
Baba's particular combination of confidence and cluelessness was chef's kiss.
