How so, given a police officer is cited as responsible for killing the person, what has that got to do with religion?
I don't know maybe the fact that a lynch mob exists in the first place, and the whole blashemy thing been the root cause, maybe people need a bit more critical thinking and less brainwashing from religion.
The police officer would probably have been part of the mob if they weren't an officer, being an officer wasn't the issue, being brainwashed by religion was.
That's like saying retail was the problem because one of the dudes in the mob was a shop keeper. Look beyond the job.
