Guy made a blasphemous remark, and a religious mob went to lynch him. Police arrested him for safety, but actually they executed him instead.

This sounds like a religion problem more than a police problem
There's room for it to be both
It's absolutely a religion problem
The police didn't do their jobs in some sense but religion was the root
How so, given a police officer is cited as responsible for killing the person, what has that got to do with religion?
The police officer would probably have been part of the mob if they weren't an officer, being an officer wasn't the issue, being brainwashed by religion was.
That's like saying retail was the problem because one of the dudes in the mob was a shop keeper. Look beyond the job.

Is there any way to see threads on Xitter without an account? I can only see the post and none of the responses or subsequent posts by the OP
For now there are some nitter instances still working: https://xcancel.com/Arshadyousafzay/status/1833784208453472329?mx=2
Looks like Khatam-e-Nabuwat is a Pakistani religious organization? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Aalmi_Majlis_Tahaffuz_Khatm-e-Nubuwwat
