The English language dubbed version of the show will air on August 15th with the Japanese language version airing on August 17th. Additional information can be found in the ANN article. From the article:
The anime will be an original work, with adapted themes and events from the main Rick and Morty animated series.
This is a surreal thing to see. I still don't quite believe it's real and seeing more evidence it is, makes me question reality.
Its like inter-dimensional cable all over again.

Something that I hadn't noticed in previous articles about this series is that it is being directed by Takashi Sano, whose previous works include Tower of God.
Tower of God was such a flat show to me. Probably because of the source material, but I can't get a feel for the director from it.

Not gonna lie, the trailer looks better than I expected. Looking forward to the premiere.
What is the point of this show? The main show is still going.
I thought the main guys went to jail. I must be wrong?
