I left /c/Risa because the moderator there was letting his own personal feelings color rules, removing posts that violated no clearly written rules, and creating new rules without even running it past the community or asking how they feel about it.
The moderator of this community is guilty of that same behavior.
Music taste conversations are super informative. It's not even necessary to get specific.
Do they "hate" large swaths of music blindly? Do they enjoy trying out unfamiliar types of music out of curiosity? It's kind of like seeing how a person treats wait staff at a restaurant.
Like as in people who only listen to one specific genre of music and don't expand their horizons. Have you looked up at of the rap songs in the past year? Tell me if you like any of them.
I love music but on day to day rarely seek it out or intentionally just sit and listen to music. I’ve become super open to listening to anything anytime. Especially if it’s not standard top stuff.
Btw if anyone has some random music suggestions I’ll give it a go.
I've picked these more or less at random but with not too much genre overlap and I tried to avoid very popular stuff for the sake of bringing something new to the table (If you don't like any of it, see my comment history for my fav Taylor Swift songs lol).
You don't have to listen to all of it, just pick the first one if you're unsure
Wow. That was super interesting. Started out not sure what to make of it, nothing crazy happening musically, but the grueling slow pace of the beat is set so perfectly just about where you can still hold rhythm. I found myself every time hanging on the king drawn bars of near silence before a single bar of a few quick words.
And top that with what feels like a poetry reading.
