Their formal campaigns have promoted use of raw milk and disputed the narrative around the 2012 Benghazi attack, in addition to the narratives promoted by their clients through the "Conservative Stack" service, a content management service catering to conservative users.

Social media and news is overwhelmingly controlled or otherwise influenced/flooded by the right or those acting on their behalf.
It's pretty easy to explain too. Social media and traditional media are all owned by billionaires and they want to push a rightwing agenda because that means less taxes for them and fuck everyone else.
They are also pushing the identity politics, so we are distracted fighting among ourselves instead of uniting against them

The reason the rich are pushing right-wing politics is that they know socially conservative people are ready to give the wealthy whatever they want so long as they can tread on the humanity of minorities. So a large part of the problem is there truly are a lot of deplorable people who have some truly abhorrent views and the rich are taking advantage of that. Is the rich taking advantage a problem? Sure, but the bigger problem is that these people with these views exist in the first place and are easily manipulated.
If the rich could get tax cuts from pushing for social rights for minorities they would do that instead, but social liberals are less gullible than the conservatives.
I wish the rich would take advantage of our more virtuous qualities. Like I would love for someone to back me financially to go around compulsively pulling up invasive plants and lobbing pollinator flower bombs into abandoned lots.
Mate, the basic principles of Equality and Fairness of the Leftwing naturally include minorities having the same rights and treatment than everybody else because Equality doesn't make distinctions on skin color, gender or which kind of people one loves.

Show me a country were Identity Politics has merelly just reduced Inequality (as defined by the Gini Coeficient) since it became fashionable (so, the last 3 decades).
From what I can see, the countries with the most and loudest Identity Politics are the ones going in the exact opposite direction - higher inequality, collapsing social mobility - like the UK and the US. It's "curious" that after the powerless fighting as a group against the powerfull were fragmented into different "identities" based on their genetics, each fighting for their "own" group rather than all together, the powerful have managed to capture an ever increasing share of the wealth and the median quality of live has even started going down.

You claim that each group fighting for their own unique needs and rights is some how splintering our unity. You do know intersectionality is a thing, right? Just because I'm for gay rights doesn't mean I'm against black rights. Each group has their own unique needs and there is some interplay between them but there is absolutely no shame or downside to communicating those unique needs.
What you claim sounds very similar to an argument I often hear from right-wingers. "Gays and Lesbians already have equal rights. They have the right to marry someone of the opposite sex just like everyone else."
There is a difference between equality and equity.

There's no class war, at least not in a country like the US: for there to be a war the other side would have to be fighting which they're not, and the billionaires have been into the pillaging stage of their conquest for decades and are just using information control, populism and rage-baiting to make sure the riff-raff remain out of their way.

In North America, most major mainstream news companies are owned by right-wing or right-leaning corporations. In Canada, I think it's literally all of them.
