Please say it ain't so. I know it's hard work, but hang in there. The trolling is on hyperdrive now so that people don't act at this critical moment. Reddit sold out because of Elon Musk, and there is a new need for Lemmy because of it. I would forgive you if you did ads or used AI to moderate. The point is, either we fight the trolls online from the safety of our homes or we will have to deal with them in real life. Trust me, you don't want that. People have been asleep and okay with fascism as long as they have money in their pocket. Now, this breach with ethical behavior in the name of corporate America on the part of so many has gone full circle. In other words, this is what you get when you value money over people.

Yeah, I was permabanned from Reddit, just for saying, "stomp Nazis." After this, I deleted the app entirely. I had issues prior to this. Posts I had carefully written and spent time writing, were deleted for using the word "target," and the word, "shoot." Both posts had zilch to do with guns or violence. Saying, "oh, shoot" about a funny autocorrect deleted my post. All this censorship, but somehow right wing trolls were still getting away with being jerks to me?! Wtf! Now I think the app is the most heavily censored thing I have ever encountered. It's unusable, it's so censored. What am I supposed to do? Go back and say, "spank Nazis," instead? At a minimum, it would confuse the message and at worst, I'd get banned for saying that. No, I'm mad at Reddit & I'm never going back.

It's all just a form of "divide and conquer." Their tactics are plain to see if you are looking for them.

Yes, and the rise in the cost of living was because of the housing crisis. The Democratic party didn't contribute to Inflation. People buying epic amounts of real estate caused the inflation. Ironically, it was Silicon Valley and Musk followers who were grabbing up most of the real estate after the pandemic. That land is being appropriated for their "freedom cities," or company towns, where their soulless employees can live. I think they plan to stash their loyal followers in these cities while this country devolves into civil war and chaos. Yes, they really do want to trigger a civil war or race war. They will house only those stupid enough to work for them in "smart" cities, where technology and AI keeps everyone under tight watch. Just heard on MSNBC that the data Musk and his hackers stole from their DOGE raid is being used to assemble a database on Americans for surveillance purposes. China has done this to their people. Time to go low profile, seriously.

Because people give their power away to authorities, instead of taking control over their own lives. No one is going to rescue any of you. Only when we all accept this and move on, together, will we ever be free.
