  • Also, a mod cannot look into the future and know how many comments there will be made later.

Hence me calling it over-moderation. It's getting involved when there's no need to. For example there was an article posted earlier that was locked and redirected to an article which I missed and wouldn't have even checked because the title just wasn't great. Though my poor geography may have been the cause for that. Also sometimes, in fact most times, I'm commenting on an article, not the subject matter.

  • Thank you so much. Honestly you don't know how much this post means to me. Thank you for confirming my plan works!

  • I don't see the point in locking threads to try and consolidate comments when new information is coming out and it's only a handful of comments. It's just pointless over moderation.

  • Welcome to Red Pill

  • Welp, this'll last long

  • Indeed, but it's considered a very good box. Hence I would still look at the UK rebranded version. Shame they're not as cheap as the Walmart versions.

  • The way I'd do it is to use the box to run a Jellyfin client and run an IPTV app, I'd have the box connect to my router which would route it via a VPN and then I'd pretty much never think about it again. But there's more traditional methods available.

  • The Onn Box is considered amongst the best in class, but it's heavily Google. Honestly in terms of smart TVs, there's not many options outside of Google if you want the best functionality.

  • I don't think we do as fans. But knowing what we do about Andre 3000 and how much he don't care, it's nice to see him get a nod anyway.

  • Do it! It's definitely worth the investment in both time and money.

  • I found it finally. It was only bloody Unbound shitting the bed.

  • I personally don't need a building jutting out the side of a mountain to feel luxurious, but it doesn't mean it's not valid for some.

Overall, this is an art and design community. The community members don't need me or you to shit on the things they enjoy.

If you want to have that conversation, you can cross post it to the appropriate communities, of which there are plenty and happily shit on it there.

  • Surely that's all the more reason to report the usability issues? The better the app selection quality the better.

  • The instance is the server. Do you mean community?

  • What? When you charge a subscription, you're not saying this is for the work done. You're selling the idea that by paying for a subscription users are supporting the work remaining ongoing. Users who paid yearly, got less than half of what they paid for. So sorry, as much as I like LJ, it absolutely does mean they owe you. At the very least they owe you an explanation.

  • Congratulations Liverpool!

  • Just gave it a whirl, it feels very unpolished. So many options wouldn't apply until I restarted the app. I couldn't find the option to set New as default. The drawer is too short and using only bottom navigation is clearly an afterthought. Also the font selection is terrible and actually hurts my eyes.
