Ich glaube, das kann man so pauschal nicht sagen.

Die Linke wird tendenziell eher von Menschen mit geringem Einkommen gewählt, die FDP eher von solchen mit hohem. Da stimmt dein Argument also gewissermaßen.

Gerade in den letzten Jahren konnten die rechten Parteien aber viele Anhänger bei Geringverdienern gewinnen, die sich abgehängt fühlen à la "die bösen Ausländer nehmen euch armen Deutschen den Wohlstand weg".

Die Grünen hingegen, die aus meiner Sicht die aktuell linkeste größere Partei darstellen, erfährt die stärkste Unterstützung von Menschen mit Abitur oder Hochschulabschluss und höheren Einkommen.

Abgesehen von den Datenschutzbedenken habe ich große Zweifel, dass es in der Praxis gelingen wird, die Daten in einer auswertbaren Form abzulegen, sodass die jeweiligen Empfänger auch tatsächlich die Informationen herausziehen können, die für sie relevant sind. Wenn ich mit einem Ausschlag zu meiner Hautärztin gehe, wird die sich wohl kaum erstmal durch 350 Seiten Befunde, Röntgenbilder, Krankenhausaufenthalte und sonstigen unstrukturierten Wirrwarr klicken wollen.

Ich schätze, dass zwischen dem initialen Starttermin und dem Zeitpunkt, wo daraus tatsächlich ein Mehrwert erwächst, mindestens zehn Jahre liegen würden. Wenn aber das medizinische Personal über Jahre nur Arbeit ohne Nutzen darin sieht, wird die Bereitschaft, die Akte gewissenhaft zu pflegen, immer weiter abnehmen.

Weiß jemand Details, mit welcher Begründung die Anwohner da so sehr dagegen waren? Gerade Hamburg ist ja eine der linkesten Städte in Deutschland und wenn man Quellen wie Göthe-Institut oder Buzzfeed glauben darf, ist es auf Platz 3 der queerfreundlichsten Städte in Deutschland.

Bei all der populistischen Panikmache über "Messermänner" und Co. kann man ja zumindest ein wenig verstehen, wieso so manche Menschen gewisse Ängste entwickeln. Aber von queeren Flüchtlingen habe ich bis dato medial fast gar nichts mitbekommen. Hat man da explizit Vorbehalte gegen queere Flüchtlinge oder queere Menschen im Allgemeinen?

That bacon recipe I just learned today. That's a great way to reduce waste. But still I wouldn't know what to do with these vast amounts of bacon.

I use around 200g of gluten powder per week (two people). Normal wheat flour contains around 10% gluten, so I'd need to wash out around 1800g of starch out of 2000g of flour to get there. And as the starch is mixed with water I'd have at least 4000g of starch water, giving me several kilograms of bacon. 😄

Looks delicious, but also like a lot of effort for preparing seitan to me. I make seitan 1-2 times a week and it doesn't take me more than 20 minutes in total.

I buy powdered gluten in bulk from a bakery wholesaler (5 kg per pack). It's relatively cheap and saves me all the effort and mess of washing the flour. Also, if you start from flour, you have a lot of starch water as a byproduct which I couldn't utilize properly.

I often use similar spices like in the video (soy sauce, smokey powdered paprika, chili flakes, pepper, salt, some sugar, lemon juice, ...) but instead of adding it to a broth, I just add it to the dough right away. Then, I add some water (not too much!) and knead it until it gets the texture of chewed chewing gum, maybe slightly firmer.

Instead of cooking or steaming, I just microwave the dough. If you use a shorter time (4-5 minutes) with a high wattage, you'll get a lot of pores that make your seitan look a bit like bread (but with a different consistency). If you go for a lower wattage and longer time (8-10 minutes) that effect will be reduced. If you want to have an even denser result, you can put your dough inbetween two plates while microwaving so you have some pressure from the top that further reduces the expansion.

After the microwave, let it cool down until you can touch it and you'll have a very similar result as shown in the video that you can tear apart with a fork, slice or dice it as required for your recipe. If you want to have it crispy or give it an even color, you can fry the result with some oil in a pan.

Für mich war der Hauptgrund Herr Musk (der mittlerweile noch deutlich stärker geworden ist als damals!!!), daneben die Phantombremsungen und das geschlossene Infotainment-System (kein Android Auto o.ä.).

Falls es jemanden interessiert: Ich bin bin letztlich mit einem Hyundai Ioniq 6 als Jahreswagen glücklich geworden. Für meine Anforderungen macht der eigentlich alles ähnlich gut wie der Tesla und einiges deutlich besser. Ich hatte noch nie eine Phantombremsung, Android Auto funktioniert super, ich hab ab Werk Knöpfe/Hebel für alle wichtigen Funktionen etc.

Ich finde die Autos trotz einiger Mängel und Probleme nicht völlig schlecht. Insbesondere das Model 3 ist eines der effizientesten Elektroautos überhaupt. Aber ja, der Chef hat einen derartigen Dachschaden, dass ich dort aktuell unter keinen Umständen Kunde werden würde.

I'm not sure if there's any species other than humans that would be considered 'vegan'. My feeling is that it requires some kind of explicit choice to explicitly go plant-based only despite being able to digest all kind of food. An animal that's 100% plant-based would be probably rather called herbivore than vegan. But maybe there are also some species or individuals that are exactly like that and we as humans just don't know about it.

I would trip over your description "a vegan restaurant that serves a bit of meat" as well, because it doesn't make sense to call it "vegan" then.

That's very good arguments that I can get behind and which I would have been very happy to hear in the original discussion. With such an explanation I can understand one's reaction much better. From my perspective, that's exactly the kind of discourse that I seek when I write to a vegan community.

Different people have different opinions and not in all cases the one side will succeed to convince the other. But still we should at least try to explain our stand point and likewise try to understand others.

I think cows are adorable (in a positive manner :D) but yes, completely agree. Being a vegan shouldn't require that you passionately love being in contact with all kinds of species. I mean - despite them playing a role in the ecosystem - who loves ticks or mosquitoes?

Yes, it's about boycotting animal products and abuse of animals. But from my perspective, that doesn't necessarily mean that you must boycott everything that is indirectly related to it. Of course you are free to do that but if your moral compass only considers 100% vegan restaurants acceptable, wouldn't the same rules apply to supermarkets, hardware stores, workplaces, service providers, friends, family etc.?

That's fine and I'm also on board with many of these things. Still, being an anarchist or anti-capitalist isn't a prequisite to become vegan. IMO also Donald Trump can (and should!) become vegan, independent of his political world view. I guess we both agree that his other political world view is pretty fucked up but that should be seen independent of his veganism status.
