  • Anyone liking this new format?

It seems to me I was more engaged and found more new cool stuff before the layout overhaul. Could just be me, or could be some slow weeks in the self-hosting world, hard to tell.

  • Same. I'm hoping for the teacher shortage to increase, I might make the switch if the barriers come down. I'd love to teach children to code, I have fond memories of my IT teacher back in the day. His lessons on TurboPascal taught me a lot.

  • “We hope that this ruling is a tipping point for the wild hamster,” stated Free Van Rompaey of Bird Protection Flanders

I had to reread that part from 'stating' a few times, feared for a minute I'd had a stroke.

Naming your child Free, although laudable, tends to be confusing in an increasingly Anglophone world.

  • This song was the shit back in the day. Turned me into a fan the moment I caught it late night on a TV music channel.

I could not believe they made the weakest song on that album into the main single. After the next album dropped it was obvious what direction they were going, and I was no longer interested.

  • If the term collective group is referencing the exploiters, then those are the cause of the issues. These cannot be solved without altering the economic system, which is a direct - and in their eyes violent - attack on the exploiters.

I agree with being careful stigmatizing groups or people, but that does not count for exploiters. They are the heinous villains of this world. They deserve no compassion.
