I'd say that the archive of the Pebble watchapps and watchable before pulling the plug are fair game and should be made available to Core.

Anything modified by Rebble after that point is up to the Rebble team to decide if they're willing to share. My only wish is that these changes are publicly available for non-commercial use, otherwise it's just another walled-garden.

Not an issue limited to the Steam Machine, but yeah..

I rarely play the latest games, so that machine would be a good upgrade for me. Especially with the ability to load a different OS that I could use for both productivity and gaming.

Not to the regular users if "Hide modlog mod names" is enabled, but other instance admins (including remote admins) can see it all regardless. So the info itself is federated across instances.

Ex: if I look at the /c/politics@lemmy.world modlog as a guest

It depends. If it's just for the sake of plugging AI because it's cool and trendy, fuck no.

If it's to improve privacy, accessibility and minimize our dependency on big tech, then I think it's a good idea.

A good example of AI in Firefox is the Translate feature (Project Bergamot). It works entirely locally, but relies on trained models to provide translation on-demand, without having Google, etc as the middle-man, and Mozilla has no idea what you translates, just which language model(s) you downloaded.

Another example is local alt-text generation for images, which also requires a trained model. Again, works entirely locally, and provide some accessibility to users with a vision impairment when an image doesn't provide caption.

Video-conferencing, it's terrible that most platforms out there aren't interoperable, and you have to choose which platform to use between businesses, and tough luck if your video-conference room doesn't support anything else than the one in use within your business.

There are solutions out there to bridge these, or you can buy other hardware kits that claim to support multiple platforms, but that doesn't help you if you can't afford to replace those right away.

And Accountability's gun is empty, so nothing will happen to either of them.

Rookie mistake, dude didn't use the unlimited PTO strategy which makes people second-guess how many days they can reasonably take off before it's deemed abusive.

It's shameful that the people they betrayed can't get rid of them before the next election.
