  • Republic of Tea is pretty solid for people just getting into looseleaf. Also Adagio, but I prefer their non-flavored teas (the flavored ones can be kinda intense/artificial).

If you're just looking for a solid black tea and don't care too much about it being looseleaf, you could check out Yorkshire Gold. It's what I drink most days and you can get it on Amazon.

  • With my husband being goofballs :) just shooting pool or working out, or watching a movie while both pretending we don't already know I'm gonna fall asleep halfway through. Or laying in bed in the morning, each procrastinating making breakfast in the secret hope that the other one will suggest going out to our favorite breakfast place.

Or in my garden, digging and cursing at the rocky Pennsylvania soil, listening to the cacophony of birdsong, giving the evil eye to the cute bunnies that nibble my flowers. >;(

Or in my kitchen inhaling the scent of my morning tea before the first sip :)

Or! At my vanity doing my makeup or painting my nails, listening to upbeat '60s music like Petula Clark or The Lovin' Spoonful.

  • Becoming healthy is tough and can suck. But being healthy is its own reward. I really enjoy eating clean, lifting weights, going on hikes in nature, etc. You can find joy in life through healthy living. YMMV if you don't have the right attitude though ¯(ツ)_/¯

  • I'm intrigued...do you mind giving more info, like exactly what does it help with (brain fog, rage, anxiety, forgetfulness, night sweats, digestive issues)? Because I have all of the above!

  • Rapist Brock Turner, aka rapist Allen Turner, who got a 6-month slap-on-the-wrist sentence for what his father called (and I quote) "twenty minutes of action"? That rapist Brock Allen Turner? The one who only served 3 months?!

  • Here are some of mine:

Jenna Phipps: she's got a lot of creative content, currently focusing on completely rebuilding an abandoned home, but her older content features lots of crochet and sewing (plus her two cute dogs!). I like her for her positive attitude and silly/goofy personality.

Jordan Theresa: she does long-form video essays about pop culture through a feminist lens. I love how she deconstructs issues; she's got a lot of thought-provoking takes. Her editing style can sometimes be a bit too frenetic for my taste, but I might be a bit older than her target audience.

Kidology: another feminist video essayist. She covers similar topics to Jordan Theresa, but with a way less bubbly presentation. She also shares a lot of interesting thoughts about her experiences as an interracial adoptee, and the difficulty in fitting into a culture different to your own.

State of Kait: she does mostly beauty and pop culture commentary videos (which to be fair, I skip a lot of the ones about celebrities), but has started pivoting into analysis of influencer trends and how these can affect viewers. She also talks about being neurodivergent and having a chronic illness, which I find interesting.

Fitness KayKay: great workouts and a positive attitude!

The Fairy Voice Mother: she's a vocal coach who analyzes live vocal performances, talking about technique and music theory. Plus she's super charming!

Angelica Nyqvist: she's a former makeup artist who creates really colorful makeup looks, and shares what new makeup products are coming out. I'm mostly interested in her videos with indie makeup. She gives me a lot of great ideas to try with my own makeup!
