Reddit mods are power hungry assholes. This one specifically too. But you also broke the rules of the sub. When I was a mod of a small sub having to handle all sorts of people giving me attitude, I wasn't paid enough for it.

You weren't like "oh sorry, I didn't understand replying to questions with info about my work broke rule 9". You were more like "how dare you".

If you think you can bike in any weather, you haven't biked enough 😅. There's absolutely limits. Regardless, you don't need to carry a change of clothes when you use your car.

Fuel costs are only that significant in ICE cars. And unless cities stop supporting cars, parking is not a problem.

Of course. You can't just paint a bike lane and expect people to ditch the car. The car has huge advantages: you can drive it in any weather, you don't need to follow a bus schedule, you can carry your whole family safely. You only convince people to replace the car with public transport or bike if those options become overwhelmingly convenient and safe. If the bus only comes twice an hour, only people who can't afford a car will use it.

As long as the car is the most convenient way to access cities, habits will not change. We need more streets restricted to bus and bike only, and more parking converted to bike lanes.

We need both, because we will never reduce our energy consumption. It will keep escalating. Historically, the result of reducing how energy intensive our systems are has been that electricity becomes cheap for something else (see crypto, AI). We need to stop sponsoring any fossil fuel extraction, refinement and imports to make it less attractive for energy markets, and instead aggressively fund solar, wind and a variety of storage capacity.

If OP is in Europe and his budget is 600€, I second this. But I'm concern with the reports that customer care has taken a dive lately.
