Active communities promotion thread
  • I was going to put Bedfordshire in brackets next to that, but I forgot. I knew it could cause confusion!

  • Active communities promotion thread
  • I think the rest of my communities haven't seen activity lately, so I'll have to post in them first!

    Federation problems?
  • The latest "welcome" post has come through and updated. Other older posts are not up-to-date, and there's at least one missing.

  • Federation problems?

I'm still getting some federation weirdness, but this issue seems to be to do with general federation rather than particular actions.

    This community: https://feddit.uk/c/lemmydirectory@lemmy.dbzer0.com

Refuses to update! Some posts have been edited but the edits don't come through. New posts are added but the only way I can get them to come through to feddit.uk is to search for the full original URL.

Is there an issue here? Or is it just being very slow?

shields.io badge for Mbin (and maybe kbin)

You can now create shields.io subscriber badges for Mbin!

    Example: !Mbin

You've been able to do this on Lemmy for ages. It should also work on kbin as long as it has been updated enough to include the API.

  • If I switch to an account on a different instance it works!?

  • 196@lemmy.blahaj.zone
  • It works on the web interface!

  • 196@lemmy.blahaj.zone
  • No, it's not that, even if I subscribe and tap on the community on the left it displays wrong.

I think it may be showing "all", which means it's the same or similar bug as the post before mine.

  • 196@lemmy.blahaj.zone

If you try to call up 196 it doesn't display - instead it seems to be lots of lemmit communities.

Completed: Upgrade Downtime today: Postgres, 19.4, 19.5
  • Thanks! Did @Emperor@feddit.uk speak to you about the rate limiting? Since the upgrade I've been rate limited on my own account which hasn't happened before (I was getting it with bots when I spoke to Emperor previously). The limit seems to be set to one post every 15 mins, which seems a bit low.

Dave Gorman to return to TV - 'I can't tell you what they're called or who they're for...'

    > Dave Gorman is making a return to TV.

    > Details of his new show are under wraps, but he will be doing some work-in-progress gigs next month to shape the programmes.

    > In an email to fans, he explained: ‘Well, this is exciting. Unfortunately it's so exciting that a man in a suit won't let me tell you all of it - so, with apologies for being a click-tease, here's the bit I can tell you:

    > ‘I'm in the process of making some more telly shows. I can't tell you what they're called or who they're for... but I can tell you that I'm getting the band back together. And when I say 'band', I mean, my laptops, screen and clickers. Because it's me doing stand up. Simple.

    > ‘As with previous projects, being at a desk, making powerpoint only gets me so far... to shape it, I need to get on stage with it. And so we've put a few warm up dates together.’
