That's how I felt about BOTW. Great tech demo, not a good Zelda game. I tried 3 times to get into it and couldn't. Its popularity is still perplexing to me.
It was an old co-workers wedding. I knew he was religious but didn't know how far that rabbit hole goes. The whole ceremony was centered around breeding children to join God's army, all while the bride's dad was standing there holding her by the shoulders until finally he gave "control of her to you (husband)". It was fucked up and we didn't bother going to the reception.
I've read 13 and my goal was 9. Three of those were Stormlight Archives books, which are all over 1,000 pages. Three were Star Wars Canon books (Thrawn) and the 3 I'm currently reading are the legends Darth Bane series. I also read Project Hail Mary, No Country for Old Men, Essex Dogs (LOVED it), TMNT The Last Ronin, LOTR Fellowship of the Ring, Stephen King's Fairy Tale (probably the least favorite of my read list this year) and the third Expanse book.
I've been to dozens of weddings and never seen anyone swing dance once in my whole life. Lots of dancing, but never swing dancing. In college my friends weren't going to swing dancing night to be silly, they were going out to get hammered and try to fuck sorority girls.
Text is why I always add reddit to a search too. I do not want a video in response to my search, pretty much ever, and on the rare occasion I do, I go straight to YouTube.
Leaps And Bounds, and Discovery Zone. Not sure if they were local only (St. Louis, MO) but they were sort of combination arcades/jungle gyms for kids to go to.
I'm on Kbin, I'm 34
