Age of Sigmar slowly becoming WHFB

I've been toying with giving Age of Sigmar another shot and having been reading through a load of stuff it really feels like AoS is ever so slowly going back to the old WHFB rules, just with round bases and still having silly individual named rules instead of general rule names like Killing Blow etc.

Not a bad thing as I found the AoS rules very poor in the past (Thanks to Alan Merricks desire to kill off anything attributed to Rick Priestly).

Do you reread books?
  • I've only reread a couple. Ghost Story by Peter Straub and I am re reading the Malazan series so I can finish the last three books without being too lost.

Generally I enjoy the experience of reading a new story and rereading I end up a bit bored.

  • What's your Sci-Fi unpopular opinion?
  • Episode 4,5 and 6 are great. The Prequels were a mess and visually did not fit, story was dreadful and George should have been shoo'd away.

The sequels are some of the worst cinema ever, and I have seen Vampire Trailer Park in full as well as the full, uncut version of Pink Flamingos.

  • Has anyone here stopped drinking?
  • Yes. 7 years. I stopped because I was a horrendous binge drinker. The first year was the most challenging but after about 18 months I was able to have a non alcoholic beer once in a while to take the edge off. I would say I get the urge maybe once or twice a year now but it's more of a 'Oooh, that would be nice' but I know it's a slippery slope back if I do have one.

Overall, much happier and I wish I'd stopped sooner but I can't change the past.

  • What is something simple that you do to decompress and keep yourself centered?
  • I take a timed, twenty minute nap. Under the sheets. Undressed. And just let me mind wander wherever it wants. I've found that generally I don't often fall asleep but am just on the cusp when the alarm goes off but I feel more rested from that than when I wake in the morning after a 'full nights sleep'.

  • Anyone else enjoying the Internet better, now that they’re off Reddit?
  • I wouldn't necessarily say I am enjoying the internet more but I am using it less, especially the doom scrolling but to be fair I've hardly used much since April and have been watching Star Trek and reading since April instead.

I've noticed an improvement in my mental health overall and I really like how Beehaw operates Vs Reddit with the more polite discussions. Definitely has a positive impact.

  • Space: Above and Beyond

This is an old forgotten gem of a sci fi series from the 90's. Created by a couple of the X-Files writers it was unfortunately cut before a second season could be made.

Personally it is one of my favourite series and as it's here on YouTube I'd recommend it to everyone.

Premise 'Set in the years 2063–2064, the show focuses on the "Wildcards", members of the United States Marine Corps 58th Squadron of the Space Aviator Cavalry. They are stationed on the space carrier USS Saratoga, acting as both infantry and pilots of SA-43 Endo/Exo-Atmospheric Attack Jet ("Hammerhead") fighters, battling an invading force of extraterrestrials.'

    UK Government Fraud Quadruples
www.thelondoneconomic.com New report reveals government fraud QUADRUPLING under Sunak

HMRC contributed enormously to the rise in government fraud after Sunak approved tens of billions to be spent on pandemic support schemes.

Unsurprisingly the BBC have coverage of how hot it is and Boris' resignation on the front page rather than this.
