DID stemms from a Talk AG the CCC this year. It is a month old and was held in german. I think this isnt DIDs work here

I am barely "comfortable" with Linux, have only a very rudimentary, half broken V1 of a homelab set up on Linux Mint. I count myself into that category, yes. But I also read stuff here and on itsfoss and on other plattforms, mostly to learn things by osmosis, because I am not interested enough to buy a Linux or Commandline Book or sth.

Wrong. I recently gave up on setting up a docker setup at my homelab and am now learning more if it before trying a second time. I read lemmy Linux communities and itsfoss since two years or more.

I heard of Navidrome, never used it. Jellyfin works as well.

The client is maybe more inportant, can recomment Symphonium.

Amazing to see development still. Its already very solid and I spent many hours in it...

Probably the most probable that youtube can be replaced, at least for high quality videos

Played it a few months ago and it was quite alright. I am not sure about the replay value as the different strategies didnt seem to different. But for one evening or maybe even one day its quite fun.

Naja, zumindest bei billig hergestellter Ware. Wobei ich nicht sagen möchte, dass Luxusartikel besser sind, die haben meist vor allem höhere Margen.

I am sorry to ask: Why such a specific UI need? And why do you want a field so big covering the image? I understand that apple likes to do this for some reason but I dont understand why?

There are probably a lot of programms that do aspects of Excel better. But the combined might you weild if you know how to use Excel is very powerful. I tried LibreOffice and OnlyOffice and the spreadsheet part of those office suites is the roughest one until today.

But my comment was more about how much of our economy probably runs on Excel. And I experienced how badly Excel and for example LibreOffice Calc plays together, it makes switching very hard. A complex .xlsx is far from being rendered and calculated correctly in LibreOffice.

Yes, I feel bad recommending LibreOffice to people who only used paid software, as the UI is quite a hurdle. Installing a theme and symbol-pack was the first thing I did, even before editing or writing something...
