I've played all the Batman games. Not Gotham knights and I have never even heard of the suicide squad game. But I instantly ignore all online multiplayer games so I guess that could be the reason.
Usually ramp up the horror/spooky games about this time every year.
Hades 2, Ghostwire Tokyo, Alan wake "American nightmare" dlc which is terrible so far. Resident Evil 2 remake.
Alien Isolation. This game really nails the original alien aesthetics. Not a perfect game but I'm happy it's a love letter to the original movie.
I'm going to say because it's short, stupid catchy. Sometimes your brain goes to random places and then logic sets in. Ignoring typical reason is what makes absurdist comedy work. We obviously have a character playing it straight trying to figure it out getting more and more upset by the illogical which makes the bit work. The music is silly and not eerie at all and then getting scared freeze frame when they continue to point out the character is not scary is the kicker and sort of makes it worth it. This was probably just a random skit they threw in last minute and thought, just have fun. A lot of hit songs are simple, obvious, stupid and catchy. Rick James thought Superfreak was a throw away song too dumb to be on the album and it's his most recognized song.
Headline. "Movie studio will keep making same movie/tv show until you stop paying for it." But yah this I agree this is usually the point that studios are able to franchise or will drop it.
Love Villeneuve. He knows it's unsustainable to keep quality with studio houses, execs, number crunchers. He delivered the first two films and has said from the begining finishing book 1&2 would be the dream.
Great movie. I've seen many with the "one take" premise. Time code, Russian Ark and the ones that pretend but don't really. Rope and snake eyes. Victoria is an amazing feat of filmmaking.
God. I miss the days of these requests and bridge burning as a young punk. "Oh you don't want us to mention x y z" First song talk about whatever weird thing they don't want you to. "Oh you don't want us to swear?" First song getting the crowd to chat give me a f.u.c.k. "Oh we need to turn it down?" Crank it on the second song. We are young and angry and we were never expecting to get paid this all means nothing to us. Side note. Always be nice to the staff and sound person they are just doing their bullshit jobs.
I don't think it would be about the workforce but the fines. Most major corporations seem to try to avoid anything with stiff fines. They will straight up remove reviews rather than cut into the bottom dollar if the minimum fines are high enough.
Favorite - Wild at Heart.
Best acting - Leaving las Vegas.
Unique Gems - Raising Arizona, Red Rock West, Knowing, Moonstruck, Adaptation, Bringing out the dead, Mandy.
I agree with the comments here. It's not very good but they go so far out of their way to laugh at themselves and the studio for making the film that it becomes charming. There are a lot of 80s / 90s sequel movies that make weird choices instead of rehasing and I'd much rather see something I'm not expecting. They know full well that a direct sequel would never please the fans so they basically destroy Matrix lore. I don't think Neo fires a gun which I found incredible as statement on the previous movies. So yah not good in the traditional sense but it's quite original in its post modern take on internet fandom, studio forcing sequels, lack of originality, commenting on not giving the audience what the think they want, etc.
