Fair point. I always associated those with the fact video games were relatively newer media at the time but you are correct. Some times they would give you maps and instructions.
The director should have reasons for the difficulty of the game. Celeste is a Perfect example. It's hard but it lets you learn and allows you to try again easily even if what you are doing is hard. Hard games that punish you and make you walk for 20-30 mins just so you can learn a few new moves the boss does can be incredibly frustrating. Many people who play these games eventually look at videos online to help after multiple tries because just "getting there" is extremely time consuming. A lot of games have normalized looking things up and that is disappointing as someone who would rather figure it out on my own. But wasting 30 mins to be killed in 2-3 hits from multiple stage bosses is not enjoyable IMHO.
Have a look. I try and avoid all things typical but lean into 80s goth/punk. It's 7 hours first 3h builds 2h hour danceable and 1 hour for less dance. With a few "cue" tracks to let me know if I should move up the dancing sooner or later. Leave room for requests. Start around 7 finish after 2am.
I can't tell if you actually have an allergy or just don't like them. There are a lot of different tomatoes so I'd explore those including Tomatillos if you aren't allergic. If you are allergic. I'd start looking at persimmons, zucchini, eggplant, maybe peppinos even some more mild apples. Don't go for "sweet or tart".
He is 76. " He has written more than a dozen novels, the most recent of which, Dead Detective Mountain, was published in 2023. " His books are hilarious.
Yah. I felt that way. I thought wow this is just silly. Ok they are doing the bloodhound gang thing and this is embarrassing until I heard California Cruising (bumping in my trunk) it took it to a whole new level of cringe. I couldn't believe it.
I'm assuming you are talking "fine art" / art in a museum . Sure. Many artists have what we consider "memes" Barbara Kruger, Shepard Fairey, and and others have work we consider memes or meme like.
They are very different genres. But most likely Daft Punk have danceable music that can be traced back to Chicago house. After disco people stared incorporating synth /electro sound into dance music into the 80s. Chicago house DJ Paul Johnson is the first name mentioned in the Daft Punk song "Teachers". During the 90's French house became very big. Searching 90's or 2000's French house will get groups close to Daft Punk.
100% go see Air on tour right now. The Moon Safari tour might be the closest thing to peak Daft Punk shows but obviously the chill side of it. Incredible vibes at these shows with amazing stage production.

Yah. I like Gimp and hate Adobes garbage AI but Adobe files are a requirement for work. I have another computer for Linux stuff but truly wish I could get away.
Yep. I figured. I receive and deliver files in Adobe. I 've found a few work arounds before but yah it's a non starter. At least I have a separate computer for daily Linux.
I hate Windows. But I have to use Adobe suite. Wine doesn't play nice. More than an hour of troubleshooting I feel is not worth it. I need to be working more than solving issues. Someone point me to how to make Adobe suite work (without hours of troubleshooting) and I'll join the Linux team. Do not suggest other software options I get the files for Adobe they have to be Adobe specific.
Whoa! I'm so sad that digital deviant art copying Zawadzki and Beksinski painting styles sort of ruined it for you. It's incredible that they are so good at painting it has a "digital art look". I hate when saturation of a style diluits the original but I can't blame them for wanting to make art like them. I remind myself that them being "spooky/dark" is the aftermath of war in Poland and time of unease.
