Anyone got KSP2 running on Linux?
  • I got it working with Lutris shortly after release, can't remember which version of Proton I used. It ran like absolute ass though (despite KSP2 running like ass). Got about 4FPS, whereas Windows got about 15.

  • New WearOS app requirements mandate a black background, activity/time indicators and more
  • I appreciate Google taking Wear OS design seriously, especially regarding design cohesiveness, but I do wonder if forcing black backgrounds in every case is a good idea. It looks better in the menu, but I prefer that media UI with a colour splash. The lack of any distinguishing elements in Wear OS apps makes them feel more like "menus for your phone but on your wrist" than "actual apps for your watch".

  • The math checks out
  • This seems accurate given the way things going, an AI model will probably be able to generate an entire movie in a fraction of a second. A soulless, terrible movie but still probably better than Batman Vs Superman.

    3700 to 8700k for $200CAD?
  • The RAM is worth a fair amount so it's not all sunk cost. See if you can find a Ryzen 3600 and B450/B550 motherboard combo for that price. The 8700 price is inflated because it's the fastest CPU LGA1151 users can upgrade to without a platform upgrade. Plus if you go AM4 you can always upgrade to a 5800X3D later. The R5 3600 and 8700(K) are about on par.

  • Guess we will need to stay away from Edge
  • You're also one of the 5 other people who use edge on Linux then. I'm forced to use it for work and have got too used to vertical tabs to use anything else. You can fix a lot of edges privacy issues via settings and launch options, though sometimes they'll end up turned back on due to an update. I have a love-hate relationship and won't hesitate to move back to Firefox.
