I appreciate Google taking Wear OS design seriously, especially regarding design cohesiveness, but I do wonder if forcing black backgrounds in every case is a good idea. It looks better in the menu, but I prefer that media UI with a colour splash. The lack of any distinguishing elements in Wear OS apps makes them feel more like "menus for your phone but on your wrist" than "actual apps for your watch".

The RAM is worth a fair amount so it's not all sunk cost. See if you can find a Ryzen 3600 and B450/B550 motherboard combo for that price. The 8700 price is inflated because it's the fastest CPU LGA1151 users can upgrade to without a platform upgrade. Plus if you go AM4 you can always upgrade to a 5800X3D later. The R5 3600 and 8700(K) are about on par.

You can fix a lot of edges privacy issues via settings and launch options, though sometimes they'll end up turned back on due to an update. I have a love-hate relationship and won't hesitate to move back to Firefox.
