Many people don't want to get into the topic that much, they wan't it accessable and easy to use. That's also the reason that many Big Tech firms can bring out products to get your data and sell it because those products are easy to use. If we want people to join our alternatives then we should make them accessable and not judge them for their disinterest in the details.
It's great that newspapers pick up on the movement and write about it. More people should get awear of what the buy and use.
For how long did you had the FP3+? How much did it costs?
I currently have the Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro and bought it for 250€. Ofcourse I'm awear that it's a Chinese phone but I bought it when I didn't know any better. This year it will be 5 or 6 years old but still works for the daily needs and I like to use things till the break or aren't really useable anymore.
So I'm curious how much yours had cost and for how long you used it. Also some other questions:
- How much do you use the phone?
- How long does one charged battery lasts?
If you don't feel comfortable with sharing information don't answer the question but I would be interested as I maybe want my next phone to be a Fairphone too.
I don't can foods so I'm not familiar with the process but it seems like a waste to throw away the one jars to buy new ones. To tell someone what to do without knowing about the topic isn't something I wanted to do. I just wanted to bring up the idea that came to my mind.
I like that the EU also has supporters outside Europe. When the EU and Canada continue to work together I think it would help and strengthen both sides.
Was sind diese Steuergeschenke konkret?
Galaxus is another really good alternative I have to add. But the only delivers to:
- Austria
- Belgium
- France
- Germany
- Italy
- Netherlands
- Switzerland
As far as I know.
Why buying new jars if you can reuse the old ones. In my family (or maybe in Germany in general) we use any kind of jar to make marmelade for example. When you buy:
- Store marmelade
- Jared pickles
- Nutella
- Smothies
Or anything in a jar you put it in the dishwasher and use it again to make marmelade or whatever you wan't to put in a jar.
So your citizen are happy with the current state and due to political oppositions (to the EU) will Switzerland not join the EU anytime soon?
Great that Canada supports the EU. When more people get awear that those other search engines besides Goggle exist then they will work better. I personally had some issues with Ecosia in the last days. I wanted to search for the English version if some German sayings but it just showed unrelated translations and websites.
When Switzerland would join the EU and UK maybe aswell the EU would get stronger. Furthermore would it be a huge example for the world if Switzerland, the "neutral/independent" country would join the EU.
In my opinion could artists or creators post on fediverse platforms and mainstream platforms at the same time. It makes sense that if a big creator switches to Pixelfed and leaves Instagram that he/she would have way less followers but if he/she would post on both, people could decide for themself.
Does it show alternatives in general or is the goal to avoid a certain kind of product or feature?
It should be another wake up call for everyone using those social media plattforms by Meta. Imagine your a small artist on Instagram and they use your art to train their model. Everyone could possible create pictures with your style using the AI. Furthermore do they possible have to save everything you post (pictures, videos and texts) and they also make money with sharing your data to third person companies. Pretty scary in my opinion.

> The best way to install them is through the F-Droid store, which is a catalogue of FOSS software for Android. It's installable by downloading the .apk file linked on the front page of the F-Droid projec'ts website. The mentioned apps from the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology can then be found by searching for "SECUSO", which is the name of the research project behind them all. > > Alternatively, you can also get them through the Google Play Store under this link or again by searching for "SECUSO". > > In particular, I recommend getting the QR code reader, because many of the free-to-use scanners route everything you scan through their servers, so they're obviously collecting your data on their servers, wherever these may be located.
