  • 1 song. Sometimes you gotta hear it on repeat.

More often it'll be an album and I might play it twice in a row.

    For an actual playlist of different songs, I only have two that I listen to frequently;

One with hundreds of personal favourites.

And another with new(or just new to me) stuff I'm interested in hearing, or want to hear again after a long time. I'll listen through and remove stuff if I don't care to hear it again. Sometimes music stays on there for months until I'm "done" with it. And the length fluctuates anywhere from around 20 to 2000 songs or so.

  • I use Mint for my streaming laptop and it works fine - great, even.

My main PC is still on Windows because from what I understand FL Studio needs WINE to run, and I could never get WINE to work on the streaming laptop. That plus 10 years of files and shit that I don't know if they will work or whatever if I did switch over. Pretty sure most or all of my Steam games would work fine, it's just too many unknowns for everything else. I'd be happy to be proven wrong but it's too big of a hassle for now.

  • Gorguts - Obscura

Death metal band takes death metal and flips it on its head. I forget the exact phrasing from an interview with the frontman Luc Lemay, but he said they wanted to make their instruments speak in a new way. It's highly experimental and maybe tough to digest even for death metal fans, but it's undeniably unique and brilliant.

  • Hell yeah. And Bergtatt, "ahh, just right".

  • They sang songs with lyrics about New York together and that was that.

    Other, less-likely factors:

New York loves Mamdani. Trump loves New York.

Trump wants to align himself with winners, and Mamdani is a winner.

Mamdani explained to him how doing what is good for New Yorkers would result in a boom for businesses and the economy.

He feels comradery over the ragebait questions from the press.

The writing is on the wall with a low approval rating and the Epstein Files. He sees his loss of support and party circling like hyenas. He's desperate and/or willing to try something different to save face. Maybe he becomes a Democrat. He never admitted to supporting Project 2025 and friends, and would betray them to serve himself. He doesn't give a shit as long as he stays in power. Woke Trump 2026.

  • Did you make this chart yourself from scratch or is there some kind of tracking tool to help?

  • Ulver's "Nattens Madrigal". Bees in a tin can.

Hilarious and accurate. And that one acoustic passage that makes you think "hey maybe there will be more like this".

  • Multiple fountain drinks weren't enough so he called in the can of root beer for backup

  • I'm also a PC gamer who prefers using a controller. No doubt a mouse is better for aiming, I just find a controller more comfortable and easier to relax with while playing, especially after working a desk job all day.

You should check out Remnant 2 and Risk of Rain 2.

  • I cast Occam's Razor on your theory.

There doesn't need to be a grand plan to explain what's going on. Besides, if people actually followed what Jesus taught we'd be at least a little better off. We can hardly work together for a greater good let alone stick to some alien plan.

My theory is this ball of idiots is bumbling around and doing idiot things against its better judgement. Smart enough to have made it this far, but dumb enough to fuck it up.

  • The 3EB and Leonard Cohen albums are quite deep lyrically. I was young when I got into those and didn't have the life experience to truly relate, but as time passed and I grew up, it's almost like they predicted the future. More like they talked about relatable experiences I would eventually have that would make sense later on. I appreciate them even more now as an adult for that reason.

The Gorguts one was present in a tough time in life. Maybe it could have been any other artist, but it happened to be this one that gave me strength in that moment. Specifically the high energy of that music was exactly what I needed to vibe with.

  • Abyss Watchers. These days I can backstab them all day, but first playthrough they served well as a skill check.

Twin Princes, too. Besides the teleport on top of your head, it's an extremely fair fight. If you respect their moves they practically can't hurt you. They were very tough the first couple playthroughs though.

Tegan and Sara - Living Room

  • Pretty spot on video.

I just ordered the plushy because it's on sale and I love Chewnic so much. I love the fox.

  • Third Eye Blind - Self-titled

Leonard Cohen - Songs of Leonard Cohen

    Deftones - White Pony

    Tool - Aenima

Gorguts - Considered Dead & The Erosion of Sanity (dual album re-release)

There could be a lot more, but these ones in particular all stand out from key moments or periods of growing up.

  • Bloodthief

I followed the dev logs on Youtube and learned a few Godot tricks from them. Got this on day one to support the dev and indie scene and just started playing. It's a blast. Fast paced hack and slash parkour action. It feels extremely satisfying to clear a room of enemies as you whip around.
