  • This is a good summary however I believe part of the issue is that due to high intensity farming the mineral levels of the soil are way down thus mineral levels of the foods we eat are basically nonexistent. People are hungry all the time because they are, essentially, malnourished. The body needs many different trace minerals to function well and if it doesn't get it will be hungry.

A fat man can be fat and malnourished at the same time. Truly a first world problem.

  • The interactions between Gkar and Mollari are worth the watch on their own. Two legendary actors giving a legendary performance.

Sleeping in light will affect you significantly.

It is a gem of a series.

  • If an alien civilization were to visit Earth, what movie would you pick to show them in order to give them a summary of what mankind is all about?
  • I thought the movie did a decent job of telling the story considering the limitations of the medium.

According to the author many studios have approached him over the years with unacceptable alterations and that one was the first one to come along with anything good enough.

He said it had to be literally children, first of all, and they always wanted to change that.

  • What is the one most astonishingly dumb things that, as a child, you believed was absolute truth?
  • An ac system with dirty humidifier portions or stagnant water from the condensate system being plugged can start growing things like mold in the wet filthy areas and cause legionnaires disease or other health issues.

A properly functioning ac system just cools and dries the air.

There is a belief that going from hot and humid summer air to cold and dry ac air and back, constantly all day long, can make you sick.

I have no idea if that is true.

A central hvac system could potentially move particles of infectious materials from one room to another but whether that would make someone sick is debatable due to how short lived virus particles are and other factors.

Some commercial systems utilize ultra violet sections and hepa filters to kill and stop airborne contaminants and allergens.

  • Explorer.exe crashing from ucrtbase.dll - BUT only if from task bar???

Start a file explorer from the folder icon on task bar - window comes up, spinny wheel for 2-3 seconds, entire desktop crashes and comes back up. Event viewer cites the application error mentioned in the title.

A Dell precision 5520 laptop, good specs, fresh-ish install of 10, rockwell software and other stuff. Had been working normally.

User says he installed a prompted Dell update last night, which could be legit.

SFC scannow - found and repaired corrupted files. Did not fix the problem.

Did the power shell windows image repair-online thing. Did not fix problem

Windows defender scan - found nothing

Put on a windows update, updates are current, did not fix problem.

Uninstalled the latest VCruntime packages, reinstalled, did not fix problem

Safe mode - problem does not arise, thought maybe I could REPLACE the ucrtbase.dll, but alas it appears to be quite difficult to do. The DLL is dated 2022 which may or may not mean anything. That may indicate it isn't the real issue.

So, HERE is the interesting thing-

Right click on desktop, create "New Folder".

Open "New Folder" and a file explorer window comes up, and does NOT crash. Works fine.

Unpin folder icon from task bar, drag new folder icon to task bar, pin. Launch file explorer window from the task bar, crashes explorer.exe as before.

Go back to "new folder" icon on desktop - works fine.

    Headdesk.

Any idea why this would happen? Any way to fix?
