Why don't low birth-rate countries make immigration to their country easier?
  • Did you equate health issues caused by lack of physical activity and excessive eating to racism? I can't even... Okay, if you want to ignore all the medical and scientific evidence, ignore them. It is your body and you are the one to face the consequences.

  • Why don't low birth-rate countries make immigration to their country easier?
  • But being fat is not the same as being black. People do not get sick and die 30 years earlier because they are black, for instance. People are black not because they ignore physical exercises and eat too much. I don't support bullying, but acting like this is a normal condition that we should cherish is wrong.

  • Fuck up a book for me please
  • Well, this community is not private, so people here will hear sensible opinions from time to time.

  • Fuck up a book for me please
  • There are many AI companies, including those that are based in countries where people communicate in other languages. What you are saying is not an insurmountable problem.

  • Fuck up a book for me please
  • In English yes. But the less popular the language is, the less materials there are. With this you can take any book and simplify it to your level. Unlike mass-produced books, AI can be very flexible.

  • Fuck up a book for me please
  • I'm not a native speaker. For books where the authors use words anyone else is hardly using, this can be really helpful. But not in this example. However even a simple book like this one can be shortened, which some people can find useful. I see no harm.

  • Oh sweet, my old Empire Earth box!
  • Yeah, but then it's easier to download the whole game rather than buying a CD/DVD drive.

  • Oh sweet, my old Empire Earth box!
  • Then you get a drive, but the game you loved is no longer playable since the server it is using to confirm its license has been offline for years.

  • Eat shit Spotify.
  • I don't think Spotify was created with deaf people in mind. It's unfair to imply the company did this on purpose to worsen their lives. I bet they didn't even think about this use-case. I agree that deaf people should be able to enjoy music, and Spotify can do something to help. But it's not that simple. For example, how would they charge people who can hear, but offer the service for free to those who can't? It's not as easy as this post makes it seem. That's why I wrote my first comment.

  • Tribalism. Our tribe is good, their tribe is bad. If you are not with your tribe, you are a traitor, so people are pressurized into this, and start believing lies about our glorious pride and wise leaders.

  • Eat shit Spotify.
  • But the feature works exactly the same for deaf and not deaf people, we've established that already. Well, at least you agreed that you were lying and manipulating. I will take the win.

  • Eat shit Spotify.
  • You are not explaining how hearing works. You are manipulating. You are manipulating by equating one's ability to hear with a Spotify feature. These are not the same thing, and comparing them is not correct.

  • Eat shit Spotify.
  • No, they don't. This feature works exactly the same regardless of what your ears can or can't do.

  • Why VPN tunnels are safer than opening a port on my router?

    Hi!

I often read suggestions to use something like Tailscale to create a tunnel between a home server and a VPS because it is allegedly safer than opening a port for WireGuard (WG) or Nginx on my router and connecting to my home network that way.

However, if my VPS is compromised, wouldn't the attacker still be able to access my local network? How does using an extra layer (the VPS) make it safer?
