OPKSSH (OpenPubkey SSH) is now open-sourced as part of the OpenPubkey project. This enables users and organizations to configure SSH to work with single sign-on technologies like OpenID Connect, removing the need to manually manage & configure SSH keys without adding a trusted party other than your ...

My first exposure to this and supposedly just a two line change to the SSH server configuration.
Anyone set this up on their own servers yet? Just for kicks?
"Fearing job loss, employees work longer hours for no additional pay, allowing employers to slash even more of the workforce."
Ugh.

This plasma Cannon is pretty awesome.
Took my Dodge vehicle in for service. They wanted my email address "so they can get in touch with me if I don't answer the phone." I gave it to them.
It took less than half a day for the first spam mail to hit my inbox.
Here’s why you should never, ever drink the rain.

Cozy, savory, spicy perfection.

I love red beans and rice. Try to use real red beans rather than kidney beans if you can. As for the meat ingredients in this recipe, feel free to vary the ratio of meats and use more or less to taste.
Do you have a favorite RB&R recipe?
Oak Grove Community Park is 67 acres and is finally getting funds for real development.
Let us suggest a new bean to use as a base for your hummus: the white bean. White bean hummus is as delicious and much creamier than that made with chickpeas.

If you're not using chickpeas, it's not really hummus. However if you're willing to overlook that, other beans can be used similarly. One example is white beans.
You can see our light pollution fillth from space as well. For a long while now.
Not too many care about that either.
Citizens came together to ensure that a rail line between Fort Worth and Dallas was completed in 1876 ahead of a deadline set by the Legislature.

At one point Fort Worth's population dropped from 3,000 to 600. Until the unified effort to bring the railroad to the town.
Dude was gifted a pocketful of 800+ year old beans by a ranger at Mesa Verde National Park. He took them home and managed to grow them, eventually turning the crop into part of his business.
The old Vickery Elementary School building, while dilapidated, still has nice bones. Hopefully the Beta Tau Lambda chapter of the Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity will have success in restoring it.
It's worth a drive-by if you ever get a chance. Walking past and around though is pretty dicey. There's a good supply of derelicts around and some use the place for overnight stays.
>Shoppers tend to stick to a handful of stores they are comfortable with and don’t regularly compare prices. People are creatures of habit, he said, and retail stores take advantage of that.
>The retail store can get away by offering you deep discounts on a few items, and they don’t need to offer you frequent discounts.
We know that beans are good for us, but which ones should we buy? Dried beans seem like the cheapest option, but we think canned wins every time. Find out why.

I would rather cook my dried beans from scratch. But this article has some arguments for when canned beans are superior.
Security updates should be mandatory. Something like safety recalls on a vehicle.
Texas A&M. Convention Center. Hotels and Hospitality. Straightening of Commerce Street. Other land redevelopment.
Top 'em off with plenty of crispy bacon! 🥓

The recipe look pretty good. Maybe it might be worth a try once the daily temps get somewhere below 100F.
And there's an effort to determine how to spend it. Seems you get a (small) voice. Sort of like how Dickies Skate Park off Hemphill came to be.
The Original Bush's Baked Beans in Tennessee is located in the rolling hills of Chestnut Hill and a charming little farmland town.

Bush's beans has a factory and visitor's center in Tennessee. You can't get into the factory, but you're welcome at the visitor's center. It's all in a small city in the country and probably a relaxing outing.
You may never want to get on a Fort Worth highway again after reading this study based on an analysis of 10,125 fatal crashes on Texas roads from 2018 to 2020.
I'm not sure exactly where these are and Google Maps doesn't have an easy way to search by exit numbers. If you know, tell us.
- Interstate 20 from exit 443 to exit 449
- Interstate 820 from exit 33C to 33A
Also this is the first time I've realized 820 is an interstate.

It's rough here in Fort Worth for the next 10 days. The highs range from 102 to 109 with nighttime temps falling into the upper 70's after another week.
There's a "passport fair" at the Downtown Fort Worth Post Office on Lancaster on Sunday August 6th. These fairs are described as "passport acceptance facilities such as post offices, libraries, and local government offices are hosting special passport acceptance fairs across the United States to help you and your family apply for your passport." More about them at https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/News/passports/special-passport-acceptance-fairs.html.
This one doesn't require an appointment, but I'd still get there early. It doesn't make your passport free ($165 altogether) but does make obtaining one easier since there will be people to assist and walk you through it.
Hint. Try to park free at the Trinity Railway Express (TRE) parking lot. Technically you need to ride the railway to park there for free but if you act like you belong no one will notice. If that doesn't suit you, just park along the street near the station parking lot and use the tunnel to walk through the station and to the post office.
Canned baked beans deserve more opportunities to highlight their versatility. Are you stuck on how to season them? Give canned baked beans a Tex-Mex twist.

Try making your baked beans "Mexican style." Try using peppers, cumin, chili powder, paprika, and garlic powder in various combinations.
Our data. About us. Bought by our government. With tax money we gave them. How can I get a piece of this pie?
Yes, these companies they are buying from are getting rich off our tax money. Boycott Google? Not gonna happen. They just get your money indirectly.
Give it some time. Everyone's life priorities will change and something like this won't be at the top of the list.
Source: Used to do the same crap.
And just like that, uninstalled their app from my Android mobile device. It wasn't that great anyway.
No mention of Mosaic (first web browser)? What sucked was you generally had to compile it yourself. That meant installing all the build tooling, building it, and turning it loose. Oh. Windows? Lol. No go. Gotta get an early version of Linux up and running first. That usually meant 20+ diskettes of Slackware installation.
But then you could surf in all the basic HTTP glory. It was a new world and it was awesome.
I got flagged on my work computer for connecting to derp foo (probably for an image). To satisfy security, had to remove all chrome extensions and reset chrome.
So I don't use Lemmy on my work computer anymore. That's sad.
- Hello World
- Read a file
- Write a file
- Read a file and loop through it line by line, printing each one (for loop or equivalent)
- Program that consists of 2 or more source files
What I'm getting at is instead of a full program, write code snippets and small programs. In doing this eventually an idea for something larger will pop into your head.
Same (Fira Code). And use it for my terminals as well.
Bummer. I truly enjoyed this movie.
DDG let's Microsoft through the cracks.
Slackware. Fall of '93. Well over 20, 3.5" diskettes. Sacrificed my OS/2 machine to do this.

This isn't true in the least. Purchase a tool and look through the manual. Every section marked "danger", "warning", or "caution" was put in there because someone sued some company because the user or some bystander was hurt or injured.
I am not a lawyer and the implications are larger than this.
Do not post, share, trade, or otherwise make public any ChatGPT output from your sessions until you fact verify that data to the extent that you're willing to take legal responsibility for it. In this case, especially causing a lawsuit against OpenAI. Because when that happens, you will foot the bill.
I am not a lawyer.
And now that it's an issue, it's the time to take care of it and add the rule (and any others there might be) to the sidebar.
BTW. It was my first post on Lemmy and I immediately got called out for some unwritten rule. It was a less than ideal experience.
I see. This is something that should be in the sidebar. I bet it'd make your mod life much easier.
