State of gaming on linux?
  • Most games work perfectly, it really is just the 'live-service' games that simply don't work in Linux thanks to kernel-level shenanigans. If you plan to play games like Valorant/LoL/Genshin, it will be a nightmare and i don't even recommend trying to make them work.

But then again, you can always have a separate SSD with Windows installed just to play those games. I'd honestly recommend you having Windows just to play games and Linux for everything else.

  • Eleven Objectives of Neoliberalism | Michael Hudson
  • One of my dogs died today but at least huddy posted something today 🥲

  • Would you work for a corporation that you oppose ideologically, if the pay is good?
  • By 'ideologically' opposed you mean you don't like the products/services they provide? Lol

Get the bag, idk what you do but youre likely just a small cog anyways and getting paid less literally means your company is extracting more value from you.

Unless your job is literally producing some sort of hate propaganda (i.e. working for the daily wire) then yea dont do that.

  • Being free from labor and being able to follow your dreams is the liberation of man.
  • Working towards the development of a society free from labour is what we all should dream, unfortunely as it is right now we are mostly working for the development of some dude summer mansion or yacht.

  • I am not as fast as my peers when it comes to my job. I keep underperforming. I feel so stupid 😢
  • It is completely normal to feel "incompetent" from time to time, maybe even your coworkers feel like that at this very moment.

It is definitely tricky to approach your coworkers for help/tips, there are some selfish assholes out there unfortunely but there are also a lot of selfless people. Try approaching one of the most experienced first, or maybe someone new that might also be struggling.

Keeping these feelings to yourself will only make the problem worse, you will start being paranoic and start thinking that youre gonna get fired every time you get an email/call from your boss.

  • I am getting real fucking tired of Eurocentrism in art
  • Damn im a cringe hans zimmer enjoyer 😔 but it really is weird how "science" movies only use classical/orchestral music

  • I am getting real fucking tired of Eurocentrism in art
  • I especially hate how regional culture is denigrated as "corriente" (common but as an insult), or even worse as "no culture". While someone that consumes european/american stuff is a "cultured" person, so fucking stupid.

  • i love realism especially this kind where there are lots of people in the picture chilling.

  • Rant: So apparently some people think because I don't support private car ownership, I also don't support public transit and still support urban sprawl?
  • Normies think buying a completely new electric car is a solution to the climate crisis, in other words, yes normies are oblivious.

  • Typically omelets are creamier while scrambled eggs are dry. its like a medium rare steak vs a well done steak, one is perfectly cooked while the other is overcooked.

  • did he eat the burrito right away or later? if it was right away it's definitely much better to use an omelet, if reheated later the eggs might dry making it essentially the same as scrambled eggs.

My brother, who's a social democrat, claims that social democracy is not capitalism
  • Ur bro just needs to read the first chapter of State and revolution. Tho he probably will cry when Lenin calls him a petty-bourgeois democrat with near-socialist phraseology and a phillistine 😅

  • Ideas for handling used oil buckets

Just a rant since i dont have anyone to talk abt this.

So i work in agriculture and inherited a warehouse that its a freaking chaos, full of rats, rusty tools, scrap metal, dirty buckets, broken pallets, sacks, etc... And i am completely overwhelmed, i dont know where to even start cleaning this shithole.

To start i want to deal with the oil mess, my ideas so far are to get a big container for used oil ( right now its all spread on dozens of buckets all around the place ), and transfer the oil to the big container ( how do i get rid of this..).

But then i am left with dozens of dirty greasy buckets so id have to clean each one with water and soap(?), but is it safe to throw the dirty water+soap+oil mix on dirt afterwards? If anyone has suggestions, im all ears.

Fucking hate the last generation obsession with hoarding.

    Buy an e-reader

I recently discovered e-readers, these devices are specifically designed for reading, modern ones use an 'e-ink' display which is a game changer in comparison to regular led displays because it doesn't cause as much eye strain + it can be used outside.

I recommend the PocketBook basic lux 3, it's the cheapest one ($85-100) without a touch screen (trust me its better with buttons). You can use free software like Calibre to upload .epub/.pdf files. Even manga looks great on it.

They will make your reading much much better.

    Thoughts on Michael Hudson work?

Anyone want to share insight on Michael Hudson thought?

So far i've been reading Killing the Host and his podcasts with Radhika Desai on Multipolarista/Geopolital Report. I love his insights on how the financial system works and what has happened during the recurrent crises (also love Radhikas insights).

Thoughts and ideas on FOSS software that needs to be done. Personally i've been thinking on working in an offline marxist.org (like arch-wiki-docs)
