It also reminds me of sports betting and its apps which make it easy and addictive to use them.

As an older person I feel sadness that young people cannot see how beautiful and interesting they are in all their individuality (we have to communicate this to them) and I also feel anger that our current culture is doing them damage.

The Australian Government just put our passport prices up again and rightly expects us all to respect and value citizenship. Well, I reckon we citizens are entitled to ask for the same commitment in return.

Because if the killing of an Australian aid worker, sexual abuse of Australian citizens, and the destruction of Australian war graves doesn’t trigger meaningful action, then it’s fair to ask: What exactly does Australian citizenship protect us from?

Although I am not indigenous, I'd like to say that Aboriginal Australians might have been 'subdued' but their cultural memory is strong and they have never been defeated nor their culture totally erased. Damaged, yes, but not erased and getting stronger with time.

Cultural memory doesn't die unless we have some world-wide catastrophe. Even if they 'choked Hamas out' of Gaza, they, or another resistance group, would rise.

Look around the world. Similar horrors abound. Our socio-political systems are rotting and the general population react and reflect that.

We need to make a lot more noise and get answers from all politicians an what they intend to do, no matter what political allegiance they have. It will show what they're about. We have a very high level of lethal violence against children and women and this provokes more violence into the future.

I agree with you. The positive imo is that it gives the reporting credibility so that opposition and incremental pressure against the regime increases from more people. The truth is important, Those who continue their silence in the face of so many crimes against humanity will be seen for what they are. Just moving too slow.

Perhaps there's too many rumblings in the community and they have to look like they have some moral authority 😅 😡 PLUS these sanctions mean nothing as they do not stop Israel in continuing their daily destruction of the Palestinian people. So, the govt can get a bit of moral PR while still continuing to support the Israeli lobby and the genocide.
