Consent is positive, not negative.

Here's an experiment for you. Walk up to a strange woman you find attractive and grab her ass. When, not if, she reacts negatively, tell her it's OK: if she doesn't want her ass grabbed she can just ask you to let go. See how well that goes over as you explain your "opt-out" philosophy to a judge. THAT is the "Brave" model here. Inflict the thing someone doesn't want and say "oh, but it's easy to ask me to stop".

No. That is not the right way to navigate consent.

The right way to navigate it is to ask before grabbing the ass. Do that and you might get scolding, ejected from the club, whatever but you're not going to wind up in jail for sexual assault. Or, in this case, do this before you turn on the AI features. Make the consent positive, not negative.

In school I was forced practically at gunpoint to stare at poetry and regurgitate the teacher/professor's opinions about what it means. It killed my ability to enjoy poetry for over two decades.

Define "correctly". Who, precisely gets to decide what is "correct" and what is "incorrect" in the bizarre little world you appear to inhabit like one of the weird people the Little Prince visits in his journey?

For example, do you apply the word "bug" only to Hemiptera and vigorously correct anybody who uses "bug" to refer to, say, a ladybug (Coleoptera) or a housefly (Diptera)? Or did you know that, in fact, the word "ladybug" is flatly incorrect (in scientific nomenclature) and rant about the very name when people talk about their gardens on discussion boards?

Every time, 100%, no exceptions, I hear someone spout off about what is or is not a "human universal" it takes me less than ten minutes' work to find counterexamples.

Red is not the colour of aggression and anger universally, for example. The "natural" counting system is not base 10. (Note: counting, not numerical representation: that's even more complicated!) Women are not universally the "nurturers" while the men are the "breadwinners/hunters/whatever". Basically ever "human universal" ever named is wrong.
